After 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 rounds of someone hitting you or at least trying to hit you for 3 minnuets X 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12. there is no way you are going tobe the same as you were when you walked into the ring. I'm not talking about injuries that require hospital stays or are career or life threating. I am asking about the normal wear and tear of a boxing match. How dose it effect the body.
I understand that there are diffrent factors involved such as lenghth of the bout and how often and where one gets hit.

after the doc clears you and he finds nothing life threatning that requires medical attention it's usually just alot of bruising and scratching because you gotta remember alot of punches don't land flush and the gloves will brush against your skin leaving scratches or really bad rashes behind.

some soreness and headaches the next day and an occasional dislocated jaw that won't move back in to place it varies. this will happen win or lose. if you got scar tissue that's another issue that is common that needs attention. alot of pros i spar with cancel or prolong fights because of the sensitive skin they have on their brows and the bad ones are the ones they get on their eyelids and those can be serious. my brother was winning a fight when the guy threw a hook even tho it never landed, the glove managed to dislocate his retina. basically his eyeball was cut and had somebleeding going on so they had to stop it unfortunately. he was seeing some double or triplevision. but sorry to get off topic that is not a normal injury, but it is one that does happen too.

After all my am fights I had a dull headache for a few hours. And then it depended on the match, once I had my nose smashed and that hurt for a week. Once I had a bloodied and cut up mouth thanks to a too small mouthguard, and then I got ulcers that were there for a while, which was a ****.
My hands were never that bad but my wrists hurt on several occasions after sparring.

But I cant even imagine the aches and pains associated with a long 12 round fight. Especially if you were taking a lot of shots to the body.

Normal injuries I get in sparring for a good 6 rounds is soreness for a couple of days from the shoulders up, and may'be you will have a little soreness in the arms and then may'be a little tightness in the body depending on how many times your opponent hits you in the body.

    Sore muscles
    Cuts and bruises
    Broken nose
    busted lips
    swelling (facial)

    dislocations are rather rare imo.

For me when I fought and trained it was always my wrists. I have abnormally small wrists, and large hands. Lower back was another thing that seemd to give me problems. Other then that nothing that I could point to as something that gave me trouble every time.

I used to train a little bit and after a good workout and a couple of rounds of sparring, I hurt all over. I couldn't imagine how I would feel after an actual fight. That's why I stick to watching it instead of trying to do it!!!!!!

I used to get shocking headaches , which I always put down to being really easy to hit but turns out I was dehydrated too , so mind and drink plenty ( I'm only talking about sparring here ! )
