A "washed up and inactive" De La Hoya on a catchweight at a weight he hasnt fought at in a decade? Coming off a loss to Floyd? Or maybe a drugged out Ricky Hatton, coming off a loss to FLoyd? Or maybe a no confidence Cotto coming off a demoralizing cheat loaded glove loss to Margarito? Or maybe a old past prime shot to **** Mosley coming off a demoralizing loss to Floyd? a zombie Joshua Clottey coming off a loss to Miguel Cotto? An exposed Margarito coming off a loss to Shane Mosley Rios coming off a loss to Alvarado? THATS IF HE WINS? ON TOP OF THAT HE GOT DECAPITATED BY MARQUEZ AND LOSS TO BRADLEY PLUS. He never won convincingly against Marquez, all were debatable. What are his top 5 best wins? Its crazy how his fans call Floyd a cherry picker, but Pacquiao has a resume like whats up there,
Barrera x2, Marquez x2, Morales x2, DLH, Hatton, Cotto,Mosley,Margarito, Ledwda, Clottey, Bradley...Impressive
Question is, who should he had fought in LW & WW that time? (except floyd of course) Those you mention are contenders for Pacquiao's belts dumbass! I'll give you an easy top 5 wins for pacquiao from the lower weight div (all via KO/TKO) 1. Barrera 1 2. Morales 2 & 3 3. Ledwaba (IBF SuperBantamweight Champ) 4. Solis (Undefeated KO Artist) 5. Sasakul (WBC Flyweight Champ)
I see the pattern of coming off a loss, and see what you did there, but it doesn't tell the whole story. You also never bother to mention Barrera, Morales, or Clottey for your argument. No matter what win around 140-147 they were impressive because 1) he was typically the much smaller man and 2) HE DOMINATED the much bigger man. To compare would be like if Floyd have knocked out Alvarez (a 15 pound bigger man) within 4 rounds or do what Pac did to Margarito and end his career basically. Oh wait.. A guy like Margarito was a proven tough guy, crazy stamina, 20 pounds on Pac, and was relentless. Canelo was 23 years old, questionable stamina, the opposite of relentless that fight..... Guys like Floyd are obviously impressive, but guys like Pac are impressive and exciting. He will go down with more losses than Mayweather, but I bet they show Pac's fights on things like ESPN classic, and you'd be hard pressed to find a Mayweather fight on there.
You know when some posters on here just talk about Mayweather/Pacquiao they know fuck all about Boxing.
thumbsup Being undefeated means nothing.. Anyway, how many undefeated fighters made it in the Top 10 Alltime Greats.. Rocky Marciano? Nah! Rocky is by far much entertaining fighter than Mayweather and not made it in the the Top 10 IMO.
