De la hoya vs mosley is probably my all time favorite fight!

margo fight was good but too one sided

cotto fight was alright but a bit more technical than i expected.

What are some of his best at 135?

Everyone says he was a beast there, any recommendations? He had just jumped to 147 when I first started watching boxing so I havent seen him at 135

An underated fight is his one with Wilfredo Rivera about 11 years ago. Another is the Winky Wright rematch.

    His top wins

    1. Margarito
    2. DLH 1
    3. Vargas(though Vargas was pretty much done being remotely near the top by this point)

He was dominant but that comes more from him KOing everybody and not the people he was KOing.

De La Hoya Mosley 1 for me remains one of the modern greats

As performance's go , Margarito Mosley is his career best performance

de la Hoya 1 is by far his best win. Light years ahead in fact. It was the single best win of the "naughties" he basically jumped up two weight classes and beat "the man." He beat a motivated de la Hoya that fought tooth and nail to get the victory but couldn't because Mosley was that bit better than him. A truly marvellous win. I've got to agree with Relentless here and say it is also my favourite fight because it was perhaps the best victory in my lifetime (Tyson - Douglas might trump it actually :think maybe.)

As for what are his best fights to watch?

Well at lightweight his fights with Leija, Molina, Gomez and Golden Johnson.

Above lightweight well there are de la Hoya 1 and 2 (I think he lost number two but its worth a watch.) There is also his fight with Willie Wise though he was fairly dirty in that fight it is a show case of his raw athletic ability. His wins over Antonio Diaz and Adrian Stone are solid watches. You NEED to watch his fights with Forrest as it does highlight Shane's inherent weaknesses I feel and I think it around the time the guy started his decline from peak, with his prime ending probably Winky II (though I'd say de la Hoya 2, most would say Winky 2.)

Lol not too many people know too much about him there except he was a beast- I'm lucky enough to have to his career set. Demetrious Cellabious and Manuel Gomez fights are the best, with the Gomez fight being the only competitive fight (besides the Holiday fight but that was just pretty ****) in his 135 title reign. While he is undoubtadly very hard to beat at 135 I feel people should look at how he struggled with a limited Gomez.

The winky 2nd fight was a good fight and showed he can adapt he nearly won too if I remember correctly

Boxing fans only seem to care about the win records of course which is wrong
