What are some good Larry Holmes fights to watch?

    The Ken Norton bout is THE obvious candidate here. The last great heavyweight fight of the 1970s. Holmes wandered through hell to win this one,showing great skills along the way. Even at this early stage,Larry illustrated that he was far and away the best heavy in the post Ali,Frazier and Foreman era.
    For pure skill,I'd recommend the first Earnie Shavers fight.

    for some reason I liked his Marvis Frazier fight. Asking the ref to stop the fight. Larry had so much personality, but also logic. A very intelligent and underrated fighter. It is better that he lost to Spinks than to Witherspoon in a rematch, since Tim never became a great. Losing to Spinks can be excused somehow more than losing to Witherspoon.

    Witherspoon is my fav Larry Holmes fight - BUT imo Spoony took 8/12 rounds minimum.
