"A champion is someone who can get up when they can't."

    - Jack Dempsey

Unfortunately that wasn't the case for Jack against Flynn though...

This one from Don King at a press conference still cracks-me-up. A reporter accused him of exploiting his own people:

"RIDICULOUS! All I'm looking for is a young black man willing to EXPIRE for a million dollars"

I had actually read that story somewhere else, I can't remember where. No plagiarism was intended. But if you are truly flattered, I'm happy too.

I like the story cus d'mato told tyson about the "coward and the hero"

"A coward and a hero feel the same thing..fear, they are both scared, but it is what the hero does that makes him a hero and what the coward does not do which makes him a coward"

IT is to that effect anyways

On the importance of being a safety first fighter and not paying attention to the fans, Willie Pep said to Willie Pastrano..."the fans don't pay your hospital bills".
