Akiwande/McNeely and Harris/Thunder were also awful.

Pat Barrett vs Efrem Calamati. Barrrett had some scary knockouts. Calamati was getting some decent recognition as an up and coming defensive stylist at that point, but he never recovered from this fight...possibly was just overhyped tbf, but nonetheless this was a near Jackson vs Graham type knockout.

Colin Jones was too unathletic, inactive, and generally sluggishly one-paced to land reliably on good, mobile, fast world class fighters (despite throwing very nice textbook punches), plus he stopped setting his punches up as well after not too long, but for guys below world level it must have been like being in there with Joe Louis. I've rarely seen someone break another fighters will so visibly while landing so few powershots and generally obviously being the slower, smaller, less athletic man as he did with McCrory. Milt's hype as the next Kronk Hearns was shattered after those fights. An underrated welterweight knockout artist. There used to be a lot of his knockouts on Youtube, but I don't know if they're all still there.

comeback after being miles behind against the fast pre-Duran fight Kirkland Laing when the latter was still a good prospect and had not yet gone off the rails.

    Fantastic stuff, lora, thank you.

I also remember a big chunk of Jones bouts being on Youtube back in the day but so much stuff has been taken down there. One of my favorite guys from around that weight to watch. For some reason when I think of Colin Jones my mind usually jumps to Art Hafey...

This one reminds me of Montiel freaking out trying to get up against Donaire.

Idk if this could count because Alfa didn't look like he got dropped by a massive one ton punch or he got hit by several motorcycles at the time of the ko,but the punishment he got leading up to he ko was horrific,he ended up dying a few times later after this bout...he used to be a popular fighter back then because of his fast punching style(basically a poor man's Hector Camacho),but he just lacked the defense and that cost him his career,he dished out a ton of punishment from his loss to a green Chris John(who he almost defeated in an exciting fight),and followed by this bout his body can't take it anymore...
    RIP Muhammad Alfaridzi.

Maurice Harris was on the receiving end of a few, and doled out a few brutal knockouts himself.

Gerald Nobles had him face down on the canvas out cold. Derrick Jefferson took Harris out with one nuclear shot and Harris in turn laid Jimmy Thunder out cold in an upset.

Wasn't the Jeremy Williams one bad too?

Wills had that unteachable, rare dog in him... What a tank of a man as well. Have you ever seen Bernard Benton fight?

He was on the end of a bad KO 1 against a man he had already beaten the first time around... and then it got even worse. **** luck.

Poor Lottie Mwale was also on the receiving end of another brutal KO at the hands of Matthew Saad Muhammad. It was also a 4th round KO much like against Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.
