Because he was OLD. He had nothing more ever to prove. He beat Vitali being in the horrible shape he was in!!!!

true, although " dominating the division" is a bit strong a term for a guy whose best win was the retired old failure Sanders who couldnt contend successfully when prime in lewis time.

 

His prime also was cut a bit short by his ACL injury, but still, he came back and beat Peter (Which was good) and beat a lot of good fighters.

No prime ATG fighters but a lot of good solid fighters.

 

hmm well peter, sanders. hardly a good set of wins, not even 1 really good one. Peter wasnt close to being a competent title fighter with his 8 round tank. Vits beat a lot of 2nd tier guys though, I will give u that.

Still, even if it's not a ATG resume, still doesn't change the fact that it was just him and his brother dominating a very watered down/weak era.
