I don’t think you’re straight up hating on Lewis, I think you believe Vitali should have beat him and would have beat him in the rematch.

Tbh with the AJ scenario, I don’t think Wlad would have been ducking if he did the same thing as Lewis. If he beat AJ and retired I just see that as retiring on top, a thing most fighters don’t know when to do. When you are up there in age and you have been in a really tough fight you should really call it a day unless you just beat the only danger man in the division. Stevenson for example should hang them up now coz things are only gunna get worse for him.

I do think vitali will beat him in the rematch. I'm not bitter he lost the first match. It was stopped due to cut. Things happened and it was a great fight.
I still believe wlad will be called ducking if he won and not giving AJ a rematch.
I don't know about Stevenson though, I think he might have a bit left to give, but not for too long as the young guys will feast on him eventually.

Fair enough. Win or lose Wlad should have retired when did, he gained back his credibility from the Fury loss. The rematch would have favoured Joshua big so why would you at 41 give a rematch to a young fighter you just beat. Leave on top, I’m not saying you leave if your a young man and you get one big win but when you have done it all and you claim that last big win, get out of there.

Or else you end up looking like Pacquiao, B hop, Roy jones. A legend who has one fight to many and starts tarnishing their legacy.

Well, it's Lewis prerogative to retire. And at the same token you can't blame a segment of boxing fan who thinks that he avoided the rematch.

Lol those guys just wanna see him lose. You could do that with most of the fighters who finished on top, Ward, Mayweather, Calzaghe. They always wanna see you take on another guy or have one more big fight. It’s the fighters responsibility to know when they ain’t got what it takes to stay on top anymore.

When any top boxer retires, there's always a fight that could have been made but wasn't. In theory Lewis should be boxing now but he's ducking Joshua. Ridiculous I know and I'm clearly not being serious, but my point is: a fighter has to stop at some point. Maybe he did feel he'd declined enough - physically and in terms of motivation - that a rematch with Vitali would have ended in a loss. But he'd earned the right to choose when to hang up his gloves because of what he'd achieved from many years at the very top. He did nothing wrong and owes the sport nothing....

its also 99% yes to AJ winning first time, not losing badly before halftime to the worst version ever when you yourself are prime.

yeah great example. almost everything about it is is wrong, yet you desperately want it to be sound.

for your next trick i expect you want to prove that lewis is ducking joshua and fury by retiring.

by destorying vitali inside halftime when he was prime, and lewis was worst ever.

yeah I think its THAT fact which for you is "ruining his legacy"

Exactly, the man was 37, out of shape and loaded. What use was it for him to come back to another tough fight against a fighter he just beat and is on the come up. That would have been like me calling for mayweather to take on Errol Spence in a rematch if he beat Spence in the first fight.

so its a silly remark TO YOU (AND ODIN BEARD) that all the HW champions chose to retire from title defences before age 38.

Essentially you are claiming that all the HW champions preceeding Lewis were silly,. OK, good luck with your argument. Care to back it up with fact not conjecture?

there is nothing mocking about saying worst lewis beat prime vitali by tko6, its a fact, and it is the nature of this fact that bothers you.

He owed Vitali that rematch after promising that he would do the fight again.

Going back on your word through fear you might lose, is the cowards way out.

Andre Ward almost pulled the same stunt with the kovalev rematch until his good friend Mayweather set him straight on what it means to be a true champion
