Damn you beat me to it. What a farce. And with all those people no one remembered to bring water and Leon’s cup

Agreed Bill .. which my posts talks about. Don't think it's controversial at all. It's an accurate assessment of the fight and is right there for all to see

Neither of them landed hard punches aside from Wilder when he floored Fury twice and Fury when he hurt Wilder in the last round and pushed him back for the remainder of that round, Fury domnated the tenth though and scored 85 punches overall while Wilder scored 75, a very close bout.

Expounding on a few of these:

Spinks in the rematch with Ali had like 3 or 4 guys giving advice and it was settled that they would take turns in between rounds — one guy after round 1, another after round 2, etc., until your turn came around again. Awful plan.

I remember Duff telling Honeyghan “Make yourself scarce” ... which was kind of sadly hilarious.

Worst I know of was when Mike Rossman was on the rebound after losing his title in the rematch to Galindez. I think he had a falling out with his father (?) who had been his chief second and trainer so someone else, maybe one of his buddies, was in the corner for his fight against club fighter Ramon Ranquillo.

The corner kept telling Rossman to move to his left. And Mike did as instructed. He proceeded to keep moving right into Raquillo’s right, which had some pop and was his only real weapon, until he got knocked down a time or two and eventually knocked out.

After the fight the unqualified cornerman asked Rossman why he kept moving to his left. Mike said that’s what you told me to do. The guy said something like, ‘No, I meant move to his left” ... but that wasn’t what he was telling him.
