Lots of haters here who cry and whine and never give any credit to Dana White or the UFC for anything. Ever.

This is your chance to show some appreciation. Surely there must be some positives to come out of Dana and the UFC's domination of the MMA world.

What are some of these things? :think

    I'll start.

The Ultimate Fighter TV series and the UFC in general has generated MASSIVE mainstream interest in MMA compared to, say, 10 years ago. Their brand and their abolition of soccer kicks and stomps have made MMA much more palatable to the public and to the lawmakers, which has led to professional competition being legalized in more and more states.

What else is there to be grateful to Dana White and the UFC for?

    Discuss.

What about the beginning of the sentence where he says ''When I first found out we were doing a reality show''

Read the thread title. Here, I'll repeat it for you.

What are some things that Dana White/the UFC has done that you approve of?

Last time I watched TUF1, I saw UFC logos all over it.

Anyway, how about answering the question. In your opinon, is there a single thing that White and Zuffa have done that is good for MMA as a sport, or are you a 100% hater with nothing positive to say, even about minor things?

To be honest, I don't know what Dana does. He runs his mouth a lot, but I don't know what decisions he free to make on his own. For all I know, he's just there to deliver the news. Flash Entertainment owns just as much of Zuffa as White does, which combines for about 19% according to Wikipedia.

I'm sure White has some creative influence over the company, but I get the feeling he is more or less the company's mouth piece.

Read my opening post. It wasnt Dana Whites idea, I do realise it was a UFC product, and I have noticed the logo's myself.

If we should be grateful to Dana White, it should be that he is just the mouth piece and he didnt have the authority to not do the reality show.

Thread title - "What are some things that Dana White/the UFC has done that you approve of?"

3 posts in the thread so far, and you have not come up with a single positive thing the UFC has done, no matter how insignificant.

    Neither have you

It was the Executives at Spike who 1st pitched the idea of a reality show

The Unified rules of MMA which prohibited knees/soccer kicks were introduce at UFC 28 by the Athletic Commission, Zuffa didnt hold it's 1st event until UFC 30

Get your facts straight before you lecture people on how to be 'grateful' to Dana and co on something they had no involvement in

I think Dana owns about 9% of Zuffa. For all intents he's only a minority stake holder. And like you say just the company's mouth piece.

Do you remember that video, with Dana and Ariel Helwani, when they were announcing the Zuffa had purchased StrikeForce? Was it me, or did you get the feeling Dana was just finding out about it too?

Dana owns a stake in the UFC brand, not Zuffa. Big difference there
