What do you think Shane Mosley's chances are on May 1st? I'm a big fan of both fighters but I already know what I think is gonna happen. I think that despite what Shane says, it will be he who recieves an ass whooping. Don't get me wrong, both men will get hit hard, quite a few times, but I don't see Shane pulling off a victory.

So fellas, honestly, what are his chances?? I ask this seriously and don't be biased, just say what you really think.

I would say 5-10%. I think people are generally giving Mosley far too much of a chance in this fight. Styles make fights, Mosley doesn't have the style to beat Mayweather. Floyd will run around the ring all night, popping off jabs and body shots. I don't expect him to really hurt Shane but he will control the fight.

I think he has about a 35-40% chance of winning. Floyd is definitely the favorite, but IMO not by much.

Mosley is not your typical pressure-fighter...he throws in flurries...lots of flurries at his best. Although he loads up more now...when he throws those flurries, it will be difficult for Floyd to slip and block all those punches.

I think Mosley will give him hell for the first 5 or 6 rounds, and then Floyd's conditioning will see him through a strong last 6-7 rounds. But I do believe this is Floyd's biggest test of his career, bar-none. Mosley is coming off a fantastic performance, and is the bigger man here. If Floyd takes him lightly at ALL, he will end up getting hurt in there. Fortunately, Floyd takes no one lightly, even when they're obviously outmatched.

I look at the Judah fight as a bar for this...Shane is fast...not quite as fast as Floyd anymore, but fast enough that Floyd is going to have trouble landing more than 1 punch at a time.

What I think you're going to see a LOT of is Floyd's counter right, after Shane's lazy jab, which is definitely his worst punch.

    Maybe a 40-45% chance.

i think shane will have trouble over floyd's boxing ability, speed and reflexes. don't get me wrong, shane is fast, but he's no longer as quick as he used to be. if i was going to say what chances are for shane, then i would tell him to concentrate on the jab, and put floyd on the backfoot with that jab. i would then tell him to box smart when floyd is on the ropes, pick out certain movements from floyd, and then maybe feint a couple of moves before eventually committing to a harder punch. everybody has certain movements to punches, and shane should try and pick out those movements of floyd's reaction to punches. another thing is when in a clinch, try and put pressure on floyd, try and tire floyd out by putting more force for floyd to try and counter that force.

We can ALL agree with this fighting style of Floyds. And this will be the tactic he will use against the older, slower, Mosely. But this proves the fact why we call him Mayrunner.

Unless Floyd shows up undertrained (over confidence) or has a really bad injury / physical condition, i don't see any chance of him loosing to "any" version of Mosley.

you can't get 0% on a fight dumbass, same as you can't get 100%, which is mathematically impossible regarding a fight that isn't fixed. theres always a slight percentage that something can happen as a result in a fighter losing. shane might catch floyd, floyd falls hurting his ankle, leg etc making him unable to get up.. are the chances of that happening high? no, but it's possible. can shane catch floyd on the temple knocking him out? it's possible. what you're stating is it's impossible for shane to beat floyd, and that has got to be incorrect, even though the chances of shane beating floyd are not too great.
