    The other thing Ali had that others often fail to mention is height and reach. When the athleticism wanes fighters with enough length can remain at the top longer. One example being Thomas Hearns still winning belts when his foes Hagler and Leonard retired. Ali was usually the taller man in the ring and had a great jab, which allowed him to cruise and pick his opponents apart.
