If you really want to see some entertaining amateur fights ...go watch Evander Holyfield and Roy Jones in their respective olympics

Tarver vs Jirov in 96's was a good fight. Tarver was absolutely gassed at the end. For those that like a highly technical fight, Sven Ottke vs Zsolt Erdei is a good one.

One of the greatest amateur fights ever, Olympic Champion vs Olympic Silver Medalist (arguably the deserved champion)

The greatest amateur fight ever IMO, back and forth, several knockdowns, with a future champ in Moon and Shannon, the only US member that didn't won a medal in those Olympic Games.

Howard Cosell said that it was one of the best fights ever, amateur or pro.

Horta, one of the most skilled Cubans ever against the prodigy, Taylor. Insane exchanges, knockdowns and some of the fastest combinations you will see.

Amazing comeback by Reid who was getting beat up until that point.

If I recall, the highest scoring match of the tournament, insane exchanges.

Two elite world champions against each other, Hearns and Pryor were highly rated as amateurs if not for Howard Davis who beat them both in order to qualify for the Olympic team.

Yeah I thought he was thinking more about competitive fights but performance wise, Leonard was amazing at Montreal, the same for Howard Davis and Teofilo Stevenson. Lemeshev is one of my favorite soviets, I was actually researching earlier to see if his trainer left some books about his training methods but it seems he didn't; Serik Sapiyev is another Soviet I really like.
