This is just too damn easy: Bowe vs Lewis Prime (or at least pre-prison) Tyson vs Lewis Tyson vs Holyfield Foreman vs Tyson I'm almost tempted to say Foreman vs Lewis had he not been robbed against Briggs, but that probably would have been ugly. Still, even a forty-nine-year old Foreman could conceivably knock Lewis cold if he connected with a clean shot. I would also like to have seen some questions answered about just how good Douglas potentially was, say against Bruno, Mercer, Ruddock and even Bowe or Lewis.

Bowe-Lewis is the only real ommission from the era that stands out. We were robbed of that one and I don't rate Bowe because of it. Most of the other ones happened eventually at some point or were just curiosities.
I don't think Tyson vs Holyfield or Lewis happened in any meaningful sense. There's no way those fights were genuinely decisive.
But Bowe-Lewis was contracted to happen twice, after Bowe's initial publicity stunt. The first time, it was derailed when Lewis was beaten by McCall. And the second time it was derailed when Bowe went up against Golota. So it would have happened at some point, had Lewis and Bowe not lost those respective fights.
I disagree that Tyson v Holyfield wasn't meaningful. Virtually no-one before that fight happened was saying that Tyson was shot or over the hill. Holyfield was the one that people thought was over the hill. It was a tremendous and memorable fight. Tyson v Lewis - it was supposed to be in 1996 but Tyson did a Bowe and ducked Lewis. Still, we got Tyson v Holyfield and Lewis v Holyfield and eventually Lewis v Tyson, even if it was a bit of a sad spectacle. So Bowe v Lewis is the one we really missed out on.
It was 1993 that it should have and could have happened. Both unbeaten and for the undisputed title. That was when Bowe decided to dump the WBC title.
Yeah, it should have happened in 1993. And the ironic thing is, at that point in time, I think Bowe would have had a great chance at beating Lewis. But it would have been good in 1994 as well, had Lewis not lost against McCall. And it was still interesting in 1996, as part of the deal where Tyson stepped aside. All we needed then was for Lewis to beat Mercer and Bowe to beat Golota. But, it never came to be.
