I think Naazim after watching the previous fights of mayweather will train mosley to out counter mayweather. He will litreally force mayweather to be the aggressor by actively fighting a negative fight. Why should mosley who is taller and longer than mayweather be the guy that come forwards and attacks. Naazim mentioned this in a previous interview when talking about pacquiao cotto and how wrong cotto was as being the aggressor in the fight. Mosley does have the speed to counter floyd and he has the power to hurt him.

Crucially mosley has the speed to overcome the reactions of mayweather which means mayweather will get hit or he will be forced to fight a more active fight. In fact i suggest mosley should actually goad and even insult mayweather in ring to get him to fight. Fighting an aggresive boxer puncher fight will not work against someone who has the fast feet of mayweather and his quick hands. Shane must make mayweather reach with his shots and counter to win.

Boxer-puncher. You need to be patient against Floyd and take the opportunities when they arrive, and that also means setting them up being an excellent jab. If he steam-rolls in throwing bombs Mayweather will make him look silly. If he tries to out-box Mayweather he will look silly. He needs a knock-out, but he will have to go about looking for it in a patient, disciplined manner.

:deal Youve got to make mayweather come to you and actually counter him. That way his reflexes and speed cant dominate like they would if you initiated the attack.

Mosely has a good stiff jab when he wants to throw it. That's what he needs to use. If he throws those little rangefinder jabs that he normally uses, and then just drops power shots, then I think Mayweather will win.

Floyd has BIG problems with a good, stiff, educated jab. Mosely needs to use that to get floyd to the ropes, then drop solid body shots. I don't think he should throw much to the head other than a jab until the second half of the fight.

Look at any interview with Roger Mayweather where he talks about guys trying to beat floyd, and he always says the way to beat floyd is with the jab. He admits it!!! I know Nazim can see it, and am confident that's what they will be working on.

the right hand in the end was taxing my friend!! Castillo was getting served and he was hella cheating..with his low blows to the hips and his holding...

I like what you say about what mosley must do...i think ur right...but it seems like mosley always fights the way his opponent wants to fight..

This is a good assessment as far as what mosley should do. I agree, with mosley's speed, including his height and reach advantage, he should force floyd to lead more than he's used to; thus forcing him to make mistakes.

Come very heavy, probably close to 160, then smother him like Castillo-Mayweather1 or similar to the Margarito fight where he threw 1 or two punch then clinch, regardless whether it connects.. Just be as close as possible, not allowing a fighter to breath. Elbow a little, clinch a lot, hit during clinch, push or lean with your weight. That is the only way Mosley will win. He can not engage Mayweather in a boxing match because Mosley will tire easily.

In other words, make the fight dirty. Mosley will be the taller, bigger, and stronger fighter in this fight so make that work for him. Ouslicking a slick fighter will never work, but rather bring him to another territoty, or outside his comfort zone.

This would be fine, except Mosley isn't the sort of fighter that can do this. Floyd will happily throw 20 punches a round, never engage, and win a boring decision. We KNOW he can and will do this. Mosley has never shown the ability to actually go out and make a boring fight. If there's not enough action for him, he will instigate it because he wants to make it a good fight for the fans.

It's like Lampley said, perhaps Floyd's biggest advantage is that he is okay with stinking out the joint to get a win. Mosley isn't, which is why Mosley will end up being the aggressor.

If he's not constantly pumping the jab in Floyd's face he's gonna have a long night of frsustartion ..Mosley does horrible against boxers :

    Wright
    Forrest
    DLH 2
    Cotto

Who was the most successful fighhter against Mayweather?

    Castillo obviously.

Castillo did not win because he was jabbing, or outboxing Mayweather. He was smothering him.

Unless you have a Judah speed for 12 rounds, no way that you can outbox Mayweather.

Mayweather would be happy to throw 5-20 scoring punches per round in order to win in a unanimous decision, so trying to be cute with Mayweather would not be a good strategy.

Bring him to deep water like Castillo did and see how well he swims.

Earlier in his career, Mosley was a devastating body puncher, and in the last few years he kind of got away from that. He also has a good jab that he hasn't been using enough. Mosley needs to bring all his weapons to this fight (jab, left hook, straight right, body hook), use his reach, work Floyd consistently behind a jab, and throw combinations to the body and head.

Following Floyd around the ring, throwing single punches, and not punishing him when he backs up, won't get the job done. Also Shane's conditioning needs to be great for this fight, because it's very important to continue a consistent punch output in the second half of the fight.

With mosley's combination of size, strength, and speed floyd will have to engage shane. Shane can become over aggressive if he feels he can get the better of his opponent mainly because his mentality pushes him to go for the ko. But in instances where he knows, especially at this point in his career, that he cannot go bombs away on an opponent I'm pretty sure you'll see him fight a smarter fight.

I'll use the 1st and 2nd vargas fights as examples. In the first fight mosley elected to brawl with vargas because he was able to land his right hand repeatedly, thinking he would eventually wear him down and put him away. Although he did manage to get the tko, he made the fight much harder than it had to be. Realizing this, in the 2nd fight, he chose to stay away and box more which earned him a spectacular ko win.

Coming into his fight with floyd it will be abundantly apparent to shane that it wouldnt be wise to constantly swing for the fences. I expect to see a very tactical fight between both men.

    Great poll options.

I definitely think a mixture of all.
