It shouldn't I think. Margarito never really had such a great case for a fight VS Mayweather. It's not like Margarito went undefeated for two years beating ATG after ATG with Mayweather refusing to sign the contracts. Also when you add the fact that Margaritos best win the one VS Cotto is now tainted by the ugly prospect that Margarito's gloves were loaded during the fight and by the fact that Cotto avenged it decisively it's very hard to argue Margarito's case.

The ones that I recall are the following in not such a special order:

1. Floyd Mayweather VS Manny Pacquou. Big duck by Mayweather probably being carried out due to fear of losing. Way it looks to me Mayweather can't remove the stain from his career by facing Manny right now since Manny lost by Ko against that mexican fellow.

2. Roy Jones Jr VS Dariuz Michaelsewski. The most intelligent duck in history. Why bother paying Dariuz a big purse and knocking him out when ducking the crap out of him generated alot more attention and thereby probably much higher figures down the line. Way I see it this is a very forgivable duck that's been forgiven by history.

3. Riddick Bowe VS Lennox Lewis. Bowe suffered that Ko at them Olympics and had some issues in his head and such and simply didn't want none of Lewis.

4. Larry Holmes VS George Foreman. Looks like Holmes was always willing to make this one while Foreman was only willing to do it for much more than anyone was willing to put on the table.

5. Ricky "Shitty Hatton VS Junior Witter. Why not finish off your crosstown rival if you're really all that great? Hatton was just a punk who fought dirty, he would have fallen prey to the far more skilled Witter.

6. Floyd Mayweather JR VS Shane Mosley. Shane Mosley was a great lightweight champion, so good in fact that people weren't exactly dying to fight him. Shane however wanted to increase his fame so he offered a highly regarded Junior Lightweight champion a shot at his title and that champion was Floyd Mayweather. Floyd turned down Shane's offer claiming that he simply "wasn't ready". Shane being determined to increase his fame shortly afterwards started negotiations with Oscar De La Hoya for a fight at Welterweight. As soon as the negotiations between Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya started little Floyd Mayweather and his dad started calling out Shane Mosley as if there was no tomorrow and when it was announced that the contracts for Shane VS Oscar had been signed little Floyd and his daddy started crying all over the place that Shane was ducking Floyd. Very shamefull stuff right there. When Floyd Mayweather himself earned a championship at welterweight he however decided not to fight Shane Mosley straight away instead opting to wait for Shane to age three more years before having the fight take place.

7. Ricky Hatton VS Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar De La Hoya wanted to get back into the win column after fighting VS Floyd Mayweather and what better way to achieve that goal than to take on the underskilled Britt. Make no mistake about it, Floyd Mayweather was by no means a bigger money fight for Ricky Hatton than Oscar De La Hoya would have been but Hatton knew it, he'd lose to Oscar De La Hoya and his silly pride didn't allow him to take a loss vs the old man so he opted to lose vs Floyd Mayweather instead for a smaller purse. After getting done with Steve Forbes and having seen Ricky lose pathetically VS Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya was even more excited about the prospect of making Hatton his *****.... sadly Hatton wasn't as fond as Oscar was of that idea.

8. Lou Savarese VS Shannon Briggs. Shannon was pretty limited, not that Lou wasn't alos but for some reason Shannon wasn't too sure that he'd defeat Lou Savarese so he opted to avoid his schedualed fights VS Lou.

9. Klitschkos ducking Holyfield. Holyfield would have been a great name to add to that win column for either Klitscko but sadly the Klitsckoh's knew that Holyfield was all wrong for them stylistically wise so speaking of Holyfields age and attempting to look merciful was a far more intelligent path to travel.

10. Klitscko's VS Valuev. Defeating the biggest boxer of all times who's also a reigning and defending WBA champion? That's not an accomplishment is it? The Klitsckoh's were scared and knew that Valuev was all wrong for them, not enough rewards for such a big risk. Fighting hopeless and smaller Mariuz Wach is cool though cause after all, he's so big and undefeated and he can't be knocked out and all that right?

11. Mike Tyson VS George Foreman. Fighting George Foreman would certainly have made financial sense for Mike Tyson, the question is if Mike Tyson genuinely believed that George Foreman was stylistically all wrong for him.... I'm kind of leaning towards that being the truth but I'm not too sure about this one.

I'm sure I could mention more or go more into details regarding each and every one but this is enough for now. Perhaps someday I'll redo this thread and base it some on replies to this one.

The first one that came to mind is actually one you bizarrely have listed the wrong way. Its not too well known (although its heavily documented and undisputed), but its significant in a few ways (for one thing, size alone, for another, blatantness of duck, for another, harming the other fighter's reputation). Valuev had probably the most blatant duck in history against Vitali Klitschko. After Valuev had already lost his belt, Vitali offered him by far the biggest purse in Value's career, like twice as much, just because it would have made a very interesting fight. Valuev refused it, preferring retirement to getting ko'd for the first time. Instead VK fought Sosnowski, his weakest opponent. Swap out a ko win over Sosnowski for a ko win over Valuev, and you've go from defense streak that is often debated, to one of the strongest in HW history. So, Valuev ducking Vitali is highly significant, along with highly blatant.

I agree on number 1 Gayweather has been ducking Pacquiao for years. she has also ducked Sergio Martinez margarito paul williams cotto in his prime and tszyu.these guys have called out gayweather many times fought in the same weight class ect.anyway gayweather knows for a fact Pacquiao will beat her ass that's why the fight will never happen and that's the bottom line bitches.
