Any plausible scenarios whereby you see one happening?

Controversial decision or a DQ. Can't ever see it I think Hopkins has indicated he's retiring after this one.

I doubt hopkins will want any part of calzaghe after he gets his ass handed to him.

Let's wait how the first one goes before thinking rematch...

I give very little chance as Hopkins will make the fight ugly even in defeat. Joe will try to make as exciting as it can be (so there's a chance he will run into something nasty) but Hopkins won't take risks to attract the crowd and nobody wants a rematch of an ugly fight even if it's intense.

Joe, win or lose, should fight Jones for his legacy of Pavlik for the fans. Hopkins, win or lose, should retire... he's done more than 99.999% of pro fighters, nothing left to prove.

Would rather watch paint dry than to see more than one version of this fight.

I won't be interested in a rematch at all. If Hopkins gets close to winning and is given the nod, that says a lot about Calzaghe. If Calzaghe gets robbed blind, that doesn't prove anything great about Hopkins. One fight is more than enough.

If this fight would have happened about 7 years ago with both in or near their prime and would have been a close fight then a rematch might be warranted but at their ages. 1 fight is good enough.

lol - Rumsfeld (he what started the thread) is probably the biggest and most vocal (if this forum had voices!) of all Hopkins backers in this fight.

    Well done! :good

It is conceivable as their will be big money involved but B-hop may have to come to Calzaghe's backyard to attempt to reverse the reslut of their first meeting.
It would certainly generate more money for them and I couldn't see either passing that up. I do think this fight may be quite close but there is only one winner i.m.o which is Calzaghe !

I would imagine if the fight was exciting enough to the point of the public wanting a rematch, then it would probably have taken too much out of Hopkins and maybe even Calzaghe, given thier age. I don't think there will be a rematch.
