I think it's more likely he faces Jesus Soto Karass. He has developed a habit recently of fighting gatekeepers that Devon Alexander schools easily. Just a win over glass chinned club fighter Broner and JSK is a front runner. :good

It used to be that Berto was the gatekeeper to Floyd until he was horribly exposed.

Now it's Broner.

Doubt Garcia will even have to do that. I think it's far more likely Mayweather fights Garcia- with the Herrera defeat fresh in the memory, than Pacquiao or Khan. And he'll possibly arrange to have Broner fed to Soto Karass on the undercard.

Let's also bare in mind Mayweather was beaten to the jab by Maidana- who obviously learned how to box from watching a Rocky movie. He's probably not keen on fighting someone who has almost identical ability, but mutual trainer Robert Garcia claims Bam Bam has the best jab of anyone he's worked with.

 

As long you beat Broner or Berto, that gives you a Mayweather fight.

Surely no chance rios gets the call less he beats someone like Thurman.

 

I wouldn't write him off against Maidana either. Fights like that normally come down to the difference in mandibular strength and I give Rios the advantage.
