Hattons done. That was it. Fight in Manchester a couple times against B/C fighters and retire.

ill give my honest opinion as ive thought alot on what he should do to resserct his career, fight junior witter in manchester, fight ricardo torres and then fight Timothy bradley, and if he wins then fight JMM thats what i would do if i was him , and if lose to any of those retire

torres fights at welter now and if he did fight torress i'd honestly be worried for his safety theres even a good chance of witter Sparking him out if he connects

Torres would beg hatton for that fight, he always wanted hatton, junior witter hasnt looked impressive gainst a good fighter since 2007, but i would love to see him fight witter, i actully like witter against the majority of light welter hmm but i dont know how that fight with hatton turns out he fights like he did against bradley he will lose

agreed if witter can get one deacent name under his belt quick
that fight could happen in manchester

but i wrekon khan has a bigger chance of getting a shot at hatton, if he does the biz on kotelnik and picks up the WBA strap (which he should)
he can make more money than witter

hattons finished, but i dont hate the guy, even thoug i regularly critasise him and he should go out with one last hurrah in manchester
hes done real good for boxing

    hatton v pac

    hatton v mayweather

2 fights that will be rememberd for a while on the world stage

Witter has poor ass stamina and he isnt really agressive enough to garantee a win

it would be one of britains biggest fight's bewteen to home grown fighters, tbh more people in britian would watch that than a calzaghe froch fight, hatton and khan have so much media attention around them, but here is how they wont fight, Sky have them both on PPV the only to fighters in Uk who are on it, Khan is on a 10 fight contract deal with sky and they nearlly lost it all against prescott they wouldnt risk it against hatton. I agree hatton is finished but there's still oppertunitys to see him against witter, torres and bradley , if he fought those fighters, i would have say his 140 career would really look impressive

I personally like Hatton and will miss him and his fans when the ride is done. I also hope that he bows out gracefully now and/or very soon while his faculties are still intact. I think he is/was better than many are giving him credit for in recent days...But he is clearly past his prime, and I believe that although he was still a high level fighter, his prime was already behind him before Pac and said so in many posts. I am hoping he retires and lets his legacy rest as is...but would understand and maybe not even mind a farewell type fight in Manchester vs a Witter/Khan/DLH or Judah type opponent, where he could quite possibly win a nice fight to retire on. His chances of reaching near elite status to land this type of P4P#1 opponent are rapidly dwindeling if not already gone...The longer he stays around I believe the more rapidly his attributes will diminish. His only opportunity could be if PBF beats Marquez and Cotto vs Pac comes off...leaving PBF with an open slot to wait out the winner of the Cotto vs Pac showdown (If cotto reaches there unscathed...I believe he will...and this fight ever happens). If Hatton seeks PBF out for a farewell or last hurrah and tries to grasp the elusive prize he seeks and PBF is inclined to give him a rematch while waiting for his own shot at Cotto or Pac...Hatton could have 1 more shot...i don't see it happening and as much as I like hatton, I hope not!

Hatton can still give other 140lb fighters hell if he wishes to continue, I'm not buying this "has to retire" nonsense. He just ran into an ATG and lost, no shame there he can come back from it though it won't be too easy.

i would never garantee anybody for a win, but witter is more defensive than comeforward fighter, a witter upcut is mightly impressive when he fights on the inside, probally one of britians most impressive fighters just could never get the fight he wanted, with his uppercuts, and jabs been quite accurate he won alot of rounds and he hasnt got stamina issues he just throws less, just nobody liked the guy, to boring for the average british fan to enjoy,

Was he fighting for P4P title? I was under the impresssion he was onbly fighting to prove that he could compete with elite competition.

    Which he didn't.

I believe Ricky showed he could deal with elite competition, and although the quality of the win gets disputed on this forum...a win over Kostya (even at that stage of his carear) shows the heights that Ricky could fight at. He did not show the ability to beat PBF and Pac (both regarded as P4P#1). But Ricky at his prime would give any elite 140 lb'r all they could want IMHO...even though recent days find people liking to bash him.
