If you've ever seen Hopkins fight dirty, you'll see that the ref never actually sees the fouls. Hopkins is always aware of where the referee is, and manuvers his opponents in such a way that the referee is always on the opposite side that he's fouling on. The ref can't penalize him for something he isn't seeing.
Unfortunately, you are correct. He is too good at it to be caught. I am going to have to go ahead as say, not a chance, based on the fact that he has perfected cheating as an artform.
Spot on. And Hopkins is one of those thug types who can and will snap if his world comes crashing down. I'm not saying Hopkins will lose via DQ. I'm saying the chance for a DQ is higher than usual in this fight.
Hopkins is a ring general...there's no way he gets busted cheating in the ring enough to get DQed. It's possible he'll lose a point but even that is unlikely.
Chances are zero, 0, zilch, nada, zippo, only in Enzo's squirelly mind. Don't get ya hopes uo for a way out for slappy. The brit is going down! I predict Calslappy will have a point deducted between rounds 4-6 for a low blow.
I suspect you're suggesting that Hopkins will get pissed off with being beaten up and take the cowards way out. The words coward and Hopkins don't belong in the same sentence, it won't happen - and he won't get beaten up either, this will be a close one. I hope Hopkins wins a comfortable decision, purely because Enzo will have a heart attack and all this Calzaghe over-rating will finally come to a ****ing end. Honestly, up until Lacy the guy was generally regarded as a joke, 2 decent wins and all of a sudden Hopkins is going to punk out against him? Yeah, right.
I could see Hopkins possibly fouling out, but it's not likely, will he use rough house tactics to frustrate and limit Calzaghe's workrate? Hell yeah, will he be penalized for it? Probably not, it's a fight and Calzaghe isnt exactly clean either when it comes to fouls. I really do see Hopkins trying to lead with his head and catch Joe on the inside with it, something that worked pretty well for Bika a few years back, and it may be exactly what a old Hopkins needs to do to gain an edge in this fight.
zero, so stfu. bhop does not hold all the time. he doesn't low blow opponents. you can say he uses dirty tactics not because he is a dirtyass fighter but to merely to frustrate his opponent and offset their momentum. it's a strategy.
He is a dirty fighter no question-but he rarely gets caught. I would say 10% if he is losing badly late maybe 30%-not good but your point is valid this fight has a better than average chance of going that way.
The chances are far, far greater than in any big fight I can think of from the last few years. Hopkins will most likely become very desperate in the fight when he sees he can't beat Calzaghe and it wouldn't be surprising to see him get extremely dirty.
