Roach isn't the holdup. It's clear that Arum however has no interest in making this fight right now. If it happens next, it will be despite Arum's wishes.

Roach has nothin to do with it. He's just a trainer. If he had his way the Floyd fight would have happened years ago.

    I think Roach wants Floyd.

Marquez is a challenge they don't enjoy trying to neutralize. Psychologically, I think Manny would be less nervous and lacking confidence against Mayweather's defense and offense than he was against Marquez, who he knew better than anyone what he could do to him. Like Merchant said about the tension in the first 3 rounds, "These fighters know each other too well."

With Mayweather, and pretty much any never-before faced fighter including those with bigger punches than Marquez, I think it's a different story. Manny doesn't fear the unknown, rather he's more prepared to overcome it in his mind. Mayweather may end up beating him, but it's not something Manny has felt before that's going to haunt him going in the way it may have with Marquez.

Explain why dude? Seriously. Tell me why a businesman wouldn't want a piece of 100 million dollar payday. Arum isn't stupid, why would he want to contiually throw pac into other fights and risk fking up the Mayweather fight which earns the biggest amount of moeny (with the possibilty of rematches which brings even more). Sorry, it doesn't add up. I think it has more to do with ego, and animosity between both sides. And Floyd is jsut a punk and has been running scared for the past 2 years. Arum didn't make Floyd take vacations, "lose his urge" , lie and continually talk **** without backing it up.

With Arum its always been -0.00%

But I think Roach is more on the "**** it, lets just take it and see what happens" way of thinking.

I put Pac with Arum at -0.00%

IF PAC REALLY WANTED TO MAKE IT HAPPEN HE COULD SIMPLY PUT HIS FOOT DOWN AND TELL BOB TO GET IT DONE. HE HASN'T SO I BELIEVE HE DOESN'T WANT IT EITHER. MAYBE THE ONLY FIGHT HE HAS BEEN HESITANT TO WANT.

I think (and hope) that Pac just might do it this time. I don't think he was happy with his performance against Marquez (for good reason) or the crowd's reaction, so he may want to do all that's left in his career to do, and peace out.

Your just not getting it, are you.

Running from the first negotiations to fight Clottey, while Floyd went on to fight the guy no one said he would (Mosley), should tell you all you need to know.

Arum has NEVER wanted this fight. Not yet anyway. He can make millions off of Pac fighting easy fights for the next couple of years. And when Pac's time has come, only then will he cash him out.

As you said above, Arum is a businessman.
