What are the chances that Arum/Roach let Pac fight Mayweather

I might be wrong but didn't Arum have nothing to do with Mayweather/De La Hoya because he does not promote neither?

How can you expect something when you are not even the promoter of the fight? I might be wrong though.

Floyd wanted the fight while he was in Top Rank. Bob Arum told Floyd that the fight couldnt be made. That is one of the reasons why Floyd left.

 

If I were Arum I would keep him away from FMJ and fight guys at LWW like Bradley etc.
Pac is an ATG but FMJ has all the advantages: size, skill, style.

 

Several reasons, actually; money being the prevailing factor why any businessman does anything. If it was more profitable (short term/long term) for Arum to make a fight between Pac-May instead of matching Pac with another opponent that TR controls, then chances are he would make the fight.

Another obstacle is TR's estranged relationship with the other promoters and boxing entities that would be involved, (GB, Mayweather, and Haymon.)

Arum's out of control ego also plays a prominent role here as well. He seems to have a feeling of entitlement as though things should be worked out the way he envisions them to. He's an old man set in his ways and doesn't want to negotiate but rather persuade, manipulate, and/or insist on getting people to side with him.

BTW, ever notice that when asked about making a fight with Pac-May, he always seems to have an inherent excuse on why Floyd wouldn't be available?
