    :think

The 1st fight Quintana had against Williams. He did a number on Paul all night long. Forget about their rematch. First encounters are whats critical & Martinez is no slouch.

So what are the chances of a shocker here???

Good chance, Martinez's speed might surprise Williams.

We know one thing for sure...

At least Martinez is fighting him, so he has a much better chance against Williams right now than your boy Pavlik.

Quick southpaw very hard to hit and fast hands. The output will be amazing 100 punches around from each fighter

I think Martinez has the faster hands, but Quintana was more cagey and has a better mix up attack than Martinez. There were times that Quintana would get inside of Williams and still get the better of him, and then he would go back outside and continue to beat him to the punch. For someone such as Martinez ( who while fast, doesn't have any inside game whatsoever) i think Williams will eventually adjust, catch up to him and start to pull away on the scorecards. It will definitely be a hard fight and i don't see it being one sided.

I think everyone is forgetting....How many times have we seen a TOP-ELITE LEVEL FIGHTER...have a win that shows that he has arrived. then in his next series of fights he fights some c- level opponents and gets surprised because he never took the opponent seriously....EVERY FIGHTER throughout history has been down that road (anyone remember Tyson/Douglass).

Paul Williams has had his BAD / OFF NIGHT!!!

So please...NO MORE: "REMEMBER QUINTANA QUESTIONS!!!"

If Martinez wins, then Floyd must defeat him to truly be great in his haters eyes

Depends whether Williams has genuinely proved he can adapt from that fight. Martinez is a a slick southpaw with good movement and quick hands and decent power. He could certainly pull it off.

The worst thing about a Martinez win would be the rematch clause. Williams does not give rematches, but he insists on rematch clauses when they might favor or protect him. If Martinez wins, we will not see Pavlik vs Martinez. We'll see Martinez/Williams II.

PW got his rematch with Quintana. Now they're 1-1. When is the rubber match?

PW lost his title to Quintana, and got an immediate rematch. When did Margarito get his rematch?

Williams wanted to fight Margarito again, but he chose to fight Cotto instead.... And he wanted to fight him after the Cotto fight, but he chose to fight Shane in a tune-up first... OOPS!

Williams may not have given a rematch clause to CQ, but that doesn;t mean he doesn't give them at all. Know what the **** you're talking about, man!
