What are the chances Usyk ditches IBF belt, making Wilder-Hrgovic fight for it?

    Who wins this
    • Wilder has power and stamina, no chin, awkward fun style
    • Hrgovic has power, skill and chin, klitcko boring style

Hrgovic has to improve his defense in order to be able to fight with Wilder, I personally think that the fight with Usyk will not happen either, one of the British or Americans will be pushed and get a chance.

Usyks aim is to be undisputed. He will not willingly drop a belt.

Usyk will not surrender a belt.

As for who wins, I don't think a lot of Hrgovic, but Wilder has won exactly one possibly fixed fight in four years. And Hrgovic has a better chin than Fury, so I don't see Wilder winning it.

Wilder beats Hrgovic but I don't see Usyk parting with any belts unless he has to.

It's pretty unlikely Usyk will drop the IBF. Mandatories seem to be the only thing keeping him active these days, after all, it's the only reason he's finally ending his year-long inactivity to fight Dubois this year.

Out of the likes of Joyce, Hrgovic, or Jalolov, I would give Sanchez the best chance at beating Wilder. All of them potentially could, but he is arguably the most professional, disciplined, and defensively responsible of all the newcomers. He moves and attacks in a concerted manner, has layers to his defensive system, controls the term of engagement extremely well, and has very underrated control game, with collar ties, joint blocks and the likes. That and he is remains extremely professional (eyes focused and ready, not falling asleep on resets or breaks) and hungry.

That is, if his career doesn't actually die in the pit of matchmaking despair that is the Cuban professional boxing.

People seem to be convinced that the Wilder that shows up to the next fight will be the same as the 2015 edition.

Wilder will be 38 in a couple months and has fought all of one round in the past two years...and some people even dispute how authentic that round actually was.

OK, it's probably a guarantee that the Wilder that shows up will share the 2015 edition's tendency to be wild and do the same stupid stuff over and over...but any other comparisons to the model of 8-9 years (and two stops) ago are deeply-speculative.

Undisputed doesn't require all the belts

The belt don't determine who is the best fighting man

When Fury beats Usyk how long do you think it will take for one of them corrupt orgs to strip him? not very. Took the IBF 10 days to strip Fury after he beats Wlad because he was contractually bound to a rematch and couldn't fight their CRAPPY mandatory.

    F THE BELT BODIES

Fury & Usyk are the conscensus two best HW's on the PLANET. Whether they hold a piece of plastic or not. The winner of that bout is UNDISPUTED...and if he's not then the definition is changing by our rules because the boxers themselves and the fans after run the sport. nobody else.

"be the same as the 2015 edition."

Wilder's more fragile now but far more experienced than in 2015, probably better at landing the right hand.

"and some people even dispute how authentic that round actually was."

The usual bitter haters yes. Many unable to process how Helenius took Joshua 7 rounds and busted him up 10 months later.

"do the same stupid stuff over and over"

    Keep crying.

The only way Usyk is dropping belts is if someone beats him.

I can see Hearn and Joshua swerving Wilder to take on Yoka or someone like that. And the WBC making the winner of Wilder-Sanchez mandatory for a shot at Fury's belt.

You outdid yourself. You want to give legitimacy to corrupt inept airy fairy organisations that have no authority in boxing.

The two best proven heavyweights haven't done so by claiming a plastic belt they did it through lineage and beating men who have proven themselves by beating other men. Belts don't mean SQUAT they are an accessory nothing loses value year by year as they fail to enforce again legitimate worthy mandatories they go for money nothing else. Give your head a WOBBLE. Usyk wouldn't have got stripped if he didn't want to fight Dubious, it's politics.
