If Wilder fury are unavailable and Chisora upsets Whyte, Usyk would be the most deserving choice and possibly the most marketable. And, if I'm AJ/Hearn, I'd rather get him in his first fight at HW than after he's had a chance to acclimate. Normally, under those circumstances, I'd question whether the fighter would take it. But considering Usyks history of traveling to opponents back yards in tough circumstances, I'm inclined to think he would take it anyway. So, what do you think, any chance this fight happens earlier than most people are expecting?
If the money is right Usyk would definitely take the challenge. But, it wouldn't be advisable to take Joshua as his first fight at heavyweight. I rather Usyk at least beat a top 10 heavyweight first and establish himself as a top heavyweight rather than be thrown in immediately with Joshua.
Next to none.Hearn will find Usyk a few showcase fights before they even talk of Joshua. To be clear a showcase fight for Usyk is no Pianeta or Ciabatta whatever his name his lol.
I mean, Hearn may represent both, but he wants AJ to win. So, rushing a title fight for Usyk would kill two birds: A. Usyk gets his title shot, so he's done right by the one client B. AJ maximizes his chances of success against a dangerous opponent by getting him early
Get him early type of thing, could do but imo he’d be mad to face Usyk before Wilder, that said you just know if AJ goes twelve rounds he’d get the win against Usyk anyway
Usyk will need a Chisora/Whyte level of fight before he faces Joshua. If Chisora does upset Whyte and Fury vs Wilder 2 happens then I believe Joshua would face Pulev to get a mando out of the way or possibly Miller.
Zero. Hearn is loyal to his fighters, and the pecking order at heavyweight would be Joshua, Whyte, Miller/Chisora, then Usyk, maybe. Usyk hasnt even had a heavyweight fight yet, give him time.
Jeez, if you were Hearn what would you do? Not exactly great business putting his two money men in the ring at this early stage.
