Wouldn't it be great to have a full hw unification next year? First Wlad AJ, then Wilder Parker, then the winners fight, all in 2017. That is what should happen, and Wlad and AJ are doing their part. Parker has signaled his willingness to fight Wilder. I think Wilder is the weak link. He's had some bad luck but always responds by taking the easy way out. I think he'll claim he needs a tune up fight, even though the time between his last fight and a Parker clash is in line with normal. That will force Parker to go another route, and throw the timing of everything off.

it depends what the wbc do, we know full well wilder wont face parker unless he has too.

If the wbc give wilder a tough mandatory he will face parker, if the wbc doesn't give wilder a mandatory he will face some can

Very slim. I think Parker and his people would want to get a title defense in before they think of unifying right now. But if any two fighters have the balls to unify right now, it's Wilder and Parker. It could happen next year.

There is a greater chance of me getting struck by Hillary Clintons Limo than Wilder getting in to the ring with Parker :eeek::pontiac:

Won't happen next although I do see it happening. I see another soft fight for Wilder from the WBC top 15.

It would be great! Not sure Parker is ready for it yet but would love to see any unification of the belts!

Odd statement. If any two fighters have the balls to unify, I think it's clearly Wlad and AJ, since they are doing it, wouldn't you say? Also, Parker has shown a ton of balls, he's always fought with alot of ambition, but when has Wilder? Say what you will about him, and I'm open to the possibility of him being the best hw in the division, but he's never shown much ambition to fight the best available. I guess with the Stiverne fight, but that's it.

Wlad is bringing a belt to the fight but it's not his belt, it's vacant. It's different from two current world champions like Parker and Wilder striking a deal and putting belts they hold on the line...

Klitschko isn't a title holder. The WBA is vacant, the only champion in the equation is Joshua.

Yes, I'm not disputing that, but the statement was "guts to unify" and the winner will have unified belts, right?

Yeah, but the WBA is vacant. It's not the same as 2 champions in 2 different organizations fighting to unify the division.

Wlad could just fight Ustinov and easily claim the WBA belt, but he's taking the high road to become a unified champ again. It's not exactly the same as unification but It's pretty similar.

Great, then we agree that there is a substantive difference between the two situations and that you miswrote what you intended to communicate.
Either way, Wilder hasn't shown the stones to do it to this stage of his career, I'm very much hoping he proves me wrong.
