I've noticed in the run up to this Pac vs. Margo fight that many, in their assesment of the fight, give Margorito a big chance to win, some easy saying he is going to be tough for Manny.

Given all that's happened in recent years, I find this a bit hard to swallow.

Yes, he is much bigger than Manny, and with a larger reach. But stlylistically, that's a totally different story.

In any event, I think all that has happened recently, on top of his vicious loss to Mosely that he has recieved, all the damage that he has taken in the ring, the fact he has fought once in the last 19 months, and the fact that there is a clear blueprint out there on how to beat him, would really make Margarito a very, very big underdog in just about everyone's eyes.

I personally think this fight will play out as a total mismatch and will not be very competitive at all, but for those who believe he will win going away, I'd like to know how you can consider him a big favorite or even think he will be especially competitive with a person of Pac's caliber.

Also, how can you just explain away MArgo's loss to Mosley, as many have done here?

And for those who think I might be talking out of my ass, I'd like you to read my prediction of Margo vs. Mosley that I posted here 7 hrs before the fight.

    Ok, so whaddya got?

  2. He had just been caught cheating, so naturally he was concerned about whether or not he was ever gonna be able to fight again.

But if he was innocent, as he claims to be, then why would there be a need to worry? And also, why didnt he beat Mosley, who is supposed to be shot then (and shot now as well)?

Excuse #1: The handwrap incident made it impossible for him to focus on boxing. Yes, even as a hall of famer tried to decapitate him, he could not remember how to do the job he had done for most of his life.

Excuse #2: Writers like Doug Fischer believe that Margarito's training camp was lackluster. He was coming off the biggest win of his life and believed his own hype.

Excuse #3: He was weight drained. At a weight he had been fighting at for most of his career.

Or he just got his ass kicked. But that makes too much sense for people to accept.

Pacquiao is in a whole different league than Margo.

    Pacquiao is special, a rarity.

Margo is a windmill punching bag with some luck in his career.

I completely agree with your assessment. He celebrated his victory over Cotto for a bit too long and got himself out of shape. Therefore he came in training overweight. I was convinced he was about to destroy Mosley but I was glad they found out the handwrap problem.

I'm sure Mosley would be willing to prove his win was undisputable. :bbb

But, for some reason, I don't think he will get that opportunity. :vonnecunt

    -Took too much time off.
-Partied it up and gained too much weight.
    -Underestimated Mosley.
    -Had a lousy training camp
-Shed alot of weight too fast
-Got caught for a serious offence moments before entering the ring.

Most of the time excuses are bull****... but in this case I believe those factors did contribute to his dismall performance against Mosley.
