What are the five most authentic and popular weight classes in boxing?

    I think the heavyweight and welterweight are in, what are the other 3?

    5 most popular (in no particular order) are lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight. The two oldest are heavyweight and middleweight. Then you have the original 8… take the first 5 I mentioned and add in flyweight, bantamweight, and featherweight.

    There will never be mass appeal for weight classes under 135.

    As far as authenticity goes, the original 8 weight divisions were heavy, light heavy, middle, welter, light, feather, bantam and fly.

    When it's going good i like super middle @ 168lbs , for me it's a division that since it's introduction has been intergrated by the sport quiet effortlessly. .

    those are the divisions with the most historical significance. the rest are more of a transitional division.
