Jeff Lacy was beaten for the whole 12 rounds vs Joe Calzaghe... Pavlik, while not brutalised, took a beating from Hopkins. Robinson and La Motta in the St Valentine's Day Massacre is worth a mention, also.

A lot of guys during RJJ prime took massive beatings. After about round 6 or so, Roy stopped going for the KO and just started using his fist to pound away on the side of their head like he was throwing a rock at them.

Greg Haugen vs JCC deserves to be up there.

Yeah, Sanchez gave you a reason to hate him. I love watching Lopez tapes. There were no dull moments with that guy.

I would throw Sanchez/Gomez in there also. Gomez suffered a broken cheekbone in that fight.

    How about Ali/Wepner???

Scott Harrison v Wayne McCullough was ugly. The size differential was huge, Harrison smashed him around the ring for 12 rounds but because of his great chin McCullough kept taking it.

my boy sam peter took some terrible punishment against baby klit in 05 for 12 rounds.

some of those right hands and hooks would KO an elephant. that left hook in the last round nearly took sam's head off :!:

That fight was hardly one-sided though, Peter dropped Wlad 3 times and forced him to excessively clinch the whole fight. Peter only lost by 3 points on all 3 of the judges scorecards, definitely not a beat down by any means.

not a domination but i would consider it a 'valiant beating' cause wlad landed far more powerful shots for the whole fight especially after round 6 yet peter took them all night long without getting hurt til that last hook :yep

wlad's chin and panic attacks made it closer on the scorecards but sam took a ton of big punches and really only landed a few big punches. his heart and chin were the most impressive things about him on that night

anyways, our boy sam is gonna come back and cement himself as the #3 man in the division and i'll be there rooting him on on 3/27. hopefully, they allow signs in the arena "WHO NEX" :yep
