What are the odds of Mayweather fighting Williams on March 13th?

No chance. Floyd is a ****ing mug. If he wanted a real fight he'd wait until Jan 30th and fight Mosley vs Berto winner. Either a true vet or young hungry champ. He wanted Pac for the money. Anyone else and he'll get paid millions no matter who it is.

Floyd and Pac have proven boxing is a mugs sport.

If Floyd stepped up and beat a Paul Williams people would truly take note. Williams, Pac, Mosley etc Guys who people believe can beat Floyd.

Floyd wasn't really 50-50 with JMM. He was 60-40 with Hatton and 60-40 with DLH. Those were really good match ups. We need more match ups with intrigue. If he fights that sort of fight then people will pay.

 

Williams has kept surprisingly quiet about this usually he is the first to call a fighter out.

For what it's worth, with Pavlik-Martinez almost done, I think Williams is waiting for the winner of Mosley-Berto.

You think Williams will move down again, I reckon mosley could move up but would take a lot of money to do so. Berto seems content down at welter but he is constantly turning down fights because of price.

Yeah I reckon he'll go to 147 again as he, Goosen and Peterson have said that that will be their next move. I don't think Mosley will be interested if he wins as Roach has said that Pacquiao wants him if Pac beats Clottey. That said, Mosley could (I said could) end up being in a position where he might fight PBF later in the year. I reckon Sturm would be a very good option for Williams as well, though. If not, Mosley said he wants the IBF 147 title as well, so if Williams is that desperate, he should fight Zaveck. I still think that Spinks is a good option for PW as well.

Spinks would be a good fight but that means he has to do a deal with the devil (Don) he will want options i think he is already setting a plan to hold the IBF title ransom.

Yeah he will. Let's face facts, his only two real interesting options outside of 147 - Pavlik and Martinez - are now fighting each other. He only ventured out of the division in the past to get fights more regularly. I'm confident he'll return to welter in his next fight.

 

He left at a really stupid time to be honest, he beat Margo who was top of the chain or not far off it. Then packed his bags and left while all the big money fights were going on around him.

 

We'll see. I think he could REALLY kill himself to get to 147 for a mega fight. They suggest as much in that article. He's not going to be a campaigning welter again IMO.

 

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration considering that he's weighed a few pounds under 160 for both of his last two fights, but I do share concerns about him going straight back into the deep end at 147. The 'reservations' about a return to 147 are just Goosen stating what others are saying. If Peterson and Williams are confident that he can make the weight then those are the only two people that matter. He hasn't got that many options at the moment, though, so it'll definately be interesting to see what his next move is:good.
