What are the odds we will see a lineal or ring magazine heavy weight champion 6 feet tall or less before 2050?

Being the we have not had once since Mike Tyson ( 1986-1990 ) , and 30 years have passed I say the odds are slim to none.

There is more chance of a few 7ft champions by 2050 the way the sport is going.

I think it could easily happen as a one-off, but I think it would be difficult for them to reign for long. The difference in weight and reach is too much.

I dont think Ruiz was even lineal, and he was above 6 feet tall.

Maybe, but the percentage of people 7 feet tall is a very small number.

It would have to be a very very THICK six footer to offset the height disadvantage.

To be fair, since Floyd Patterson lost to Liston in 1962, nearly 60 years, there have only been two lineal champs who were six feet or shorter. (Frazier and Tyson)

It's not like lineal heavyweight champs under six feet have been the norm in most of our lifetimes.
