Obviosly this is extremely rare.....if it ever has even happened in the history of the sport I don't even know??? Probably not. But lets just say, if both fighers simultaneously throw hard right hands and knock down each other, the ref counts to ten with both guys staying on the canvas....what happens? Is the fight called a draw???

    No Contest I'd assume.

I know its a ridiculously stupid question (almost didn't even want to ask it!) likely to NEVER happen, but I was wondering if the official rule book would say something about it?

  4. Dude i've been a boxing junkie for 30 years and haven't seen it yet so don't hold your breath:nut it would depend i guess on the boxing comission sponsoring the fight:huh different states and countries have different guidelines, i honestly don't know???:bart

Supposedly, if both fighters land at the same time and both are counted out "Ask Yahoo" says that "boxing commisions from Arizona to Utah" would rule it a technical draw.Once I saw former lightheavyweight belt holder Charles Williams and contender Merqui Sosa punish each other so bad that the commision stopped the fight and ruled it a technical draw, though neither had been down.

Once I saw a video of it happening in the amateurs.

Yeah...the officials pretty much set the precedent for that type of instance during the aftermath of that fight.

Double KD's, while extremely rare, have been known to happen from time to time. Ad Wolgast-Joe Rivers is still the most famous example, plus Leeroy Murphy- Chisanda Mutti was another title fight which featured a double KD (Murphy got up...Mutti didn't.)

Here's another double kd...with a count issued by the ref.

they were right to do so...both fights were brutal as hell..the second one had a proper ending though
