The saddest thing to see in sports is someone who was once so great that they defied comparison becoming not only mortal, but eventually pathetic. A guy like Dwight Gooden (Dr. K) in baseball who was one of the greatest pitchers of all time at 20 and the 4th or 5th man on the rotation by 30.

The same thing happens all the time in boxing - Ali, Holyfield, Roy Jones, Tyson, Joe Louis are just a few that come to mind. Would be great to hear thoughts on this subject in terms of who and why.

Poor Joe had to come back to pay his taxes. He was screwed by the government.

Kelly Pavlik cause now he has resorted to fighting bums and low level competition! I wish he would retire!

Leon Spinks, who has the unenviable distincion of being the only former HW champ to be KO'd by a fighter making his pro debut. There were many other sad shows in Leon's career - KO loss to rocky sekorski, KO' in one by Jose Ribalta, KO'd in one by light HW Tony Morrison, Draw 10 with Terry Mims, pts loss to a totally shot Tex Cobb, KO'd by Angelo Musone...the list goes on

If Ken Buchanan goes ahead with his planned comeback from retirement, this will surely be the saddest moment ever witnessed in boxing history.

the cut fukked it up though, if MAB came into the fight minus the damage, it may have turned out differently.
