    For me:

    1. Castillo vs. Coralles I

just pure brutallity, multiple KD's and changes in momentum, incredible ending (never thiough that Castillo could be KO'd), neither guy was ever the same after this, Diego was my ***** RIP champ!

    2. Trinidad vs. Vargas

Mex vs. PR at its finest, multiple KD's and changes in momentum, two guys in their primes, that night Vargas gave much of himself just for our entertaiment, and Tito what can I say " he closes the show like champion he is" - Larry Merchant, just an unforgetable evening

    3.Leonard vs. Hearns I

The first fight i ever saw, changes in momentum, changes in roles, as the boxer became the puncher the puncher became the boxer, the guts and balls of Tommy hurt just bouncing around clearing his head, Leonard blind out of one eye, and the incrible ending, Tommy berely standing his wirey frame wraped around the ropes those 15 rounders really seperate the men from the boys sorta speak

the first two fight are kind of tragic for some of the combatants were never the same

the last is a classic mega fight that help set up a great decade of boxing

something about that late round KO that is just special, tells you something about the fighters involved

These i saw live on TV, there other great fights but before my time, gatti and ward was just not at this level of class

Castillo Coralese - For the reasons you just stated

Diaz - Marquez - what an electrifying fight, the back and forth, the young vs the old, the skill vs the balls. It was one of the best fights ive ever seen in my life. And the dramatic action was amazing, (especially how marquez fired back when hurt).

Gatti - Mayweather - Why? because i was watching it with friends who all thought gatti would mow right through mayweather. And i told them it would be a schooling. LOL they got sooooo quiet after round 1. needles to say, i didnt pay for any of my beers the rest of the night. So i guess its a personal fave hahha

I remember watching Tyson knock out Berbick when i was younger(9 YRS OLD IN 86). I had never seen someone fumble and fall around the ring like Berbick did . He looked as if he had just got through spinning around in circles as many times as possible and then tried to run forward while trying to keep his balance. I got the chance among others as well to see the birth of what was to become debatably one the best fighters of all time if not the best. And of course Corrales v Luis Castillo. And for some reason I want to say Toney- Holyfield, Toney was masterful in this fight, showing all of his poise.

    intersting selections guys

Toney vs Jirov was is a Classic too!

I can't beleive that Toney took all the shots to the body and still managed the KD in the 12th round.

Tito vs mayorga was also one of my personal faves. Mayorga finally got the beat down we all knew he deserved. But he took it like a man

Alexis Arguello/Aaron Pryor I. Arguello nearly took Pryor's head off with one of the biggest punches ever at that weight, but Pryor came back. A great back-and-forth battle and test of wills.

Sugar Ray Leonard/Thomas Hearns I. Odd seeing Hearns as the boxer and Sugar Ray the slugger. Hearns was well ahead and I agree with those who claim the stoppage was a bit premature.

Matthew Saad Muhammad/Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. A war a la Gatti/Ward, but with greater skill.

Foreman/Lyle was exciting while it lasted, but not a "great" fight. The Thrilla in Manilla I watched with 20,000 other people at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, and Coralles/Castillo I only saw several weeks later.
