Sorry if it's been done...but is there any sort of consensus for a top 5?

Corrales/Castillo I
Hagler/Hearns
Barrera/Morales I
Ali/Frazier I
Chacon/Limon IV

I want to say Leonard/Hearns but really it was Hearns boxing Leonard's head off until Hearns tuckered out and Leonard pounced...a tad overrated...if that's controversial to say.

Yeah I just felt it had to be there for iconic purposes. War hats and all that.

I like it though, ****ing hipsters.

Ruiz-Holyfield 2 round 11 deserves a mention.

I don't really think it's the one of the best ever but Holyfield was coming of a very good performance against Lewis and then had a sort of gift decision against Ruiz in their first fight, and then round 11 of their second fight.
He knocks Holyfield down, and Holyfield was really nearly out.
[yt]C2RS_kC6rcE[/yt]
7:07 begins round 11
When he got knocked down the second time Holyfield got 18 seconds recovery time, I'm pretty sure Ruiz could have KO'd him if Holyfield wasn't holding on for his dear life.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpbXazQX4-Q (For the last 10 seconds of the round/Holyfield hugging the hugger)

Lewis couldn't do that, not in two fights.

Ruiz gets a lot of hate everywhere, but at the end of the day he could make it very difficult for any fighter out there.
Lewis dropped his belt so he didn't have to fight Ruiz, he had sparred with Ruiz and he knew it would have been an ugly fight that would make Lewis look bad so he didn't bother.
Ruiz is the kind of fighter that can only makes you look bad because people underrate him so much.

He showed a very good performance against a Holyfield that had a very good performance against Lewis (and some think Holyfield won the fight)

Ruiz was a good boxer and I think deserves a mention here because he's so extremely underrated/hated.

Also on Ruiz his ugly style, blame the ref who allows it not the fighter.
If you put a candy in front of a kid it's your own fault of placing it there, if a ref makes it easy for Ruiz it's not Ruiz his fault for wanting to exploit that.

For me:

Hagler-Hearns
Saad Muhammad-Yaqui Lopez II
Chacon-Boza
Leonard-Benitez
Duran-Barkley

Not saying these are the five greatest fights of all time, but they are the five that I'd choose if I had to pick only five fights I could watch if I were stranded on a desert island

Pryor/Arguello just makes me mad.

I always preferred the first fight over Manila actually.

It was a low blow.

Below the belt = illegal

Holyfield should aim higher next time, the only thing that was disgraceful was the robbery in their first fight.

This was the moment of impact.
Hitting just below the belt, therefore the shot was illegal.

Also the ref was in perfect position to view that blow, thanks to the way Ruiz/Holyfield were positioned.
You can claim KO all you want but low is low
