Please help any tips coaches or any other volume punchers can give me is greatly appreciated thanks My coach said i have the potential to be a very good volume puncher So i am asking for tips on combination/volume punching Or if you want you can list traits i need to be a good volume puncher :thumbsup
like that could be a trait i think.you can say a fighter needs to be bulky, you can say a fighter has to have a lean body example danny jacobs . You can say i have to be fast ,you can say i need a great chin to be a good combination puncher.i know a little bit but i honestly i dont know it all. so i am seeking advice from you and the rest of the knowledgeable boxers and coaches on esb. and i honestly believe the volume punchers on esb would know way more then me because im switching my style to that of a combination/volume puncher. Because my coach said he thats a good style for me ima tell you a little about myself my hand speed is fast i have pretty good instinct im very explosive i have a above average defense but im willing to take a shot to give a shot if the risk is worth the reward both my hands is quick so i can overwhelm people with combinations thats all i hope thats enough info for yahl to work off let me know if you need more to help me thankyou for your time
Throw lots of punches without getting dropped in the process. You ask some pretty daft questions ese. I think you should be bulky and grow a good chin if you're gonna be a volume puncher. Take some steroids and lift weights to stunt your growth, also smoke cigarettes. That way you will have the traits to be a successful volume puncher.
The reality is you have to know how to punch. Dont just throw your hands around. Look at Calzaghe. The highlights are priceless.
Work on combinations on the bags. Also have some rounds in which you focus on throwing a high amount of punches. Always keep your technique and balance so that your not just flailing about throwing punches trying to achieve "high volume," in a Joe Calzaghe type of way aha. Once you gain the confidence you'll be able to put what you learn and have worked on into use in the ring. P.s. Ignore the bull****!
Endurance is key. Become a volume puncher and you need to be able to keep your style going for 3 rounds - run out of steam and you're in trouble
