First, I suggested the Klitschko brothers to retire and I was called idiot, dumbass, stupid, and blah blah blah...... by people in this forum. Now I have changed my mind since I heard many of them here talking about HW prospects such as Povetkin, Ustinov, Mitchell, Boystov, Wach, Dimitrenko, Helenius, Fury, Solis, and etc. Most of these young guns are undefeated and some of them trying to call out the Klitschko brothers to fight them but we still don't know yet who will be next for the K2. Could you tell me what the hell these fighters are waiting for? Who are more likely to fight the K2 next? Thanks for your info. and comments.:good
It seemed to me that the K2 brothers won't agree to fight dangerous fighters easily except it's a mandatory fight. The guys who have been beaten already by Vitali or the guys who have been beaten already by Wladimir have more chance to fight them than the ones that I mentioned above (for example David Haye).
Here are my thoughts after being a K2 fan since 2000 and a boxing fan since the early 90's. Povetkin - Atlas convinced him he can't beat Wlad. He's been dodging Wlad for years. He's got the paper strap now and will be able to make any fights he wants because he's got the WBA World title and he's less dangerous than K2. Ustinov/Mitchell/Wach are all too inexperienced. Fury is trained by Manny Steward, so that presents a conflict. Boytsov has been missing in action, fighting nobodies for at least a year. I assume he was trying to get some experience without ruining his record. I'd say eventually he will fight Wlad or Vitali. Helenius has an injured shoulder from the Chisora fight. Not sure what's going on with him. Solis was beaten by Vitali, hurt his knee in that fight and has been rehabbing it ever since. I had heard he was coming back but haven't seen him fight since then. Dimitrenko - I think will make the opponent list sooner than later. Haye - is considered a joke by most, including K2. Vitali has said he would fight him just to punish him. Wlad has said that he won't give Haye a rematch after the **** talking, ducking, excuses and cowardly performance. Arreola - spent the last year cutting weight and being extremely active fighting low level opponents. Will likely be a Wlad opponent in 2012. Thompson - Is the current IBF mandatory. Pulev - I think will make the opponent list before 2013 is over. Chambers - Injury prone. Has been talking about a rematch with Povetkin. Adamek - Wouldn't be surprised if Wlad winds up facing him, assuming Adamek continues in a good way.
Well, you would be wrong. The brothers have been trying to get a guy like Povetkin inside the ring for years, but he just won't do it. The rest of the guys on your list either aren't at all ready, have already been beaten (Solis, Helenius) or has no name to speak of outside of the ultra-hardcore fans. If only some of these guys would fight each other to 1) get ready for a championship shot by fighting first-rate competition 2) build up their names, the division would be a lot better.
A well thought out answer, nice one. Pay attention Klitlickers, this is what the rest of us hope you'll one day become.
The are waiting for The Klitschkos to retire..............................most will fight winos from the alley..............
Thanks again for the info. and comments. There are so many HW prospects at the moment and it doesn't look like the K2 are running out of oponents. Hope that they will fight each other soon.
