Solis looks good on a resume but really we saw no action before Solis blew his ****ing knee out, so it's hard to rate that one at all.

He has a lot of D+/C- type wins that add to his overall record and longevity but not much else (the comeback aside from Arreola and Peter to a lesser degree)

    That being said I'd say:

Arreola, Sanders, Kirk Johnson (dominance of performance), Sam Peter, and Adamek
All solid wins but C+ at best, really.

I guess Hide was a pretty good win.
    It's a thin resume.

Vitali tried to get the SNV fight for ages.

The main problem with Vitali's career since his comeback is he hasn't taken many risks. Peter and Solis are the only chancey fights he took. If he had fought Haye, Chagaev, and/or Thompson his resume would look better.

    1. Sanders
Sanders was coming in off his career best win, a brutal early stoppage over the prime ATG Wladmir Klitschko.

    2. Sam Peter
Big hitting African Sam Peter gave ATG Wladimir Klitschko his toughest fight since starting his 'second wind' phase of his career. It's been almost a decade since Peter gave Wlad such a challenge where nobody else has been able too, can Povetkin? Maybe.

    3. Tomasz Adamek
Possible HOfer and two weight champion Adamek was coming in to this fight with easy wins over the previous era HW legends (the second best era ever) Golota, McBride and Grant as well as toying with Arreola. Vitali beat this fella like a ginger step child.

    4. Juan Carlos "The Black Panther" Gomez
CW legend and perhaps the second greatest CW of all time Gomez despite his impressive HW run was destroyed here.

    5. Solis
One of the top 5 ATG HW AM stars. Vitali crushed this chap like a can. KO1

Hide as well as Danny Williams coming in off a far more impressive ko win over Tyson than Lewis scored over the same version also deserve a mention.

Granted Arreola was undefeated at the time but was he really considered a threat to Vitali? I'll bet Kirk Johnson was given better chances of beating Vitali but he isn't making alot of people's lists.

Yes, Herbie Hide was a five to one favorite to beat Vitali, but Vitali almost killed Hide! I thought Hide was dead! What a second knockout!!!!!!!

    five to one?

think you are reading the fight end time or something.

hide had little chance, it was painfully obvious he was in the wrong weight class versus a SHW. He ran faster than Floyd pattz. Jeez, he ran faster than R Pattz would.

A good win compared to the rest of Vitalis mediocre resume though.
