Oh, ok. you're a moron trying (and failing I might add) to appear clever. You're also clearly another of the multitude who wouldn't have any interest in boxing at all if there weren't a couple of white men at the top of the heavyweight division. You should stick around, you fit right in here.
Dont know about your other quotes but Lampley didnt say "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight".
So now we're not allowed to discuss boxing on a boxing forum? Get a ****ing grip. I have great respect for Vitali and think he's a very good heavyweight. I only started this thread because a lot of people talk as if he's an all time great when I seriously don't think he's got the resume to be considered one. Whether it be his own fault or he's just in a weak era, he's not got the names on his list of wins. I think it's a mixture of both.
I'd rate Vitali's 5 best wins something like this: 1 Sanders- Sanders was a good heavyweight and coming off a big win over Wlad. But, he was getting old, heavy, and not very active. Good win but nothing great. 2 Gomez- Gomez, like Sanders, was older and heavy when they met but he was still a skilled and talented heavyweight and Vitali put a beating on him. 3 Peter- Peter was/is a solid but limited heavyweight. The impressive thing here is that Vitali was coming off a 4 year layoff and dominated Peter. 4 Arreola- This win could move up or down depending on what Arreola does with the rest of his career. He was a young, aggressive, undefeated guy who came to fight and Vitali still dominated him. 5 Kirk Johnon- Probably the best guy Vitali beat but he slides down the list for coming in so out of shape. I think this is the best Vitali ever looked in the ring. 6 Kevin Johnson 7 Williams 8 Donald 9 Hide 10 Briggs(after Saturday) I wouldn't call Vitali's resume great at all but I wouldn't call it weak either. There are some decent opponents on there and Vitali beat them all fairly easily. If he hadn't lost 4 years to injuries he could really have strengthend that list up. If he could beat a guy or two like Haye, Adamek, Povetkin, Chambers, etc before he retires than that would help his cause a lot.
