LoL Hatton is 28 and in his prime, he has another 4 years in the sport, assuming that's an average of 2 fights a year he has 8 more fights in the bank. Hatton makes the weight through training easily and has not once struggled at the scales. He is one of those lucky athletes who can enjoy lifes excesses outside of the ring and enter it in tip top condition. Hatton has fought 4 World Champions in his last 5 fights, at two weight divisions, he was slaughtered for moving back down to light welter and has moved back up to face the P4P no 1. Sounds like ascendency rather than a slippery slope to me. At 24 he was fighting experienced pro's (not cans) like Vince Phillips and Ben Tackie. At 25 he was fighting one of the best Light Welters of all time, making him quit on his stool. At the same age he was unifying the division and becoming Britains first Ring 'Fighter of the Year'. A lack of activity at 26 and he took the Welterweight Crown from Luis Collazo after six weeks notice of moving up in weight, satisfying the insatiable haters demand that he compete in the USA. At 27/28 he has taken back his IBF belt he vacated, fighting for the first time in Vegas, and this summer he stops Castillo in four, the first fighter to KO the brave mexican warrior with a torrent of bone shuddering lefts to the body, ending in one of the best body punch knockouts seen, especially taking into account the opponent. Sure he's already on the downhill, and sure it was all luck. Thank god Hatton is getting this pay check..... he really needs it. The guy is a multi millionaire but doen't feel the need to flaunt it like FLoyd does. Hatton's endorsements on top of his fight purses mean that he could be cherry picking his fights at this stage in his career. The fact is he has chosen to face the top dog at Welter, in his own back yard. Downhill. LoL. Oh and History...... he's already made it.
Invited 10 of my buddies(NO women) over for the big fight.Lots of beer and scotch,a big mixed tray of meats, cheeses, etc.,fresh Italian buns and a great hangover on Sunday morning.4 of the invitees are originally from England ,so it will be a blast!:good
Oh and I will be in a pub in Droylsden Manchester, enjoying our Christmas Texas Hold'em Special, followed by buffet, all the while the big screen up, showing the undercard here in the UK, then on to Vegas. By 4am we will all be ready to watch the main event. Although some may not have lasted the pace. . . . .
**** no, that's what the nose candy is for. Drink and drink and drink and not fall asleep. 'There's only on Ricky Hatton!'
So you like Hatton...I understand now. He will lose next Saturday, and it is ALLL downhill. Sorry you're on the losing end. lol...typing all that crap.
Nice response, shame your mouth turns quiet when a few truths are pointed out. I actually think Hatton will lose (despite being a fan, I am also a realist), just disagree with your perception of him.
Thank you. Less is more. You're partial to Hatton...thus your dumb monologue on YOUR view of his career...touting him. Your post was bull****, and Hatton is bull****.
Point out the bull****. Point out my views....I think you'll find all is fact. LoL toys out of the pram comes to mind.
