because Ricky called him out after ducking him the last few years...he talked extreme **** in the post Castillo interview...disrespecting Floyd enough to goad him into this pay off fight....there's several guys that certainly deserve this shot more than him...

Why do I even have to explain what people already know?

He fought the outstanding majority of his fights in England against bums. cans, and old veterans to pad his resume...30 something MEANINGLESS fights....then he offered enough money to Tszyu to get him to come to his backyard to get raped by ref and armbarred into submission..

He won "The Man status" at 140 with that disgusting, illegal perormance...thus putting him in the mix...then he locked horns with such juggernauts as Maussa, Collazo, Urango, and a shot Castillo...

    He's a finagler.

Like he really deserves this shot....lol...it's all good though because Mayweather's gonna make an example out of him for opening his mouth.

Hatton basically fell into Mayweather's lap.

I am done trying to reason with haters you could make Floyd out the same: Baldomir, Judah and a "shot" De La Hoya arn't exactly juggernauts either. (not that I think that just an example)

You also are very very GULLIBLE if you think that Floyd was A) Retired or B) Was goaded into a fight. He picked the best Risk/Reward ratio fight thats that.

Mayweather's universally recognized as #1 around his weight....he earned that spot...all roads lead to him.

You can do what the **** you want when you're #1...as long as you do enough to STAY #1....and Floyd's STILL #1, right?

Baldomir, Judah, and DLH were tougher challenges and opponents than the 4 I mentioned for Hatton...and he beat them well...Hatton STRUGGLED at times with his...and did you actually say DLH is shot like Castillo? Do you like Hatton that much??

Oscar's past his prime...but nowhere near as battle worn and downhill as Castillo is...come on, man.

Just like many others, you wanna see Hatton and his career in the best light possible...disregarding the rules of Boxing...the true meaning behind it all...and what REALLY went on to get him here...

He's lucky to be here, and he's gonna get what he asked for...money for his 0.

Floyd is a better fighter than Ricky Hatton therefore he should hav ebeen fighting better comp geniuos also ddi you not read the part of the post where i said I did not belive that.

Oscar has not been as active as Castillo. Also Ricky Handed Castillo his ass on a plate 4-0 with a KO, Floyd beat Oscar either 7-5/8-4 depending on how you score a fight. Anyway your a hater. So meh i cannot convince you.

Ill be in the livingroom wae a cup of tea and few beers with my dad an uncle. If Floyd stays in the pocket it could be a great great fight. Looking forward to it!:happy

the only reason this fight is so big is so we know who is next to get decapitated by Miguel Angel Cotto

Why was this not specified? I am to assume that's the "BIG FIGHT"? I'm still not sure I'm even going to stay up to watch it on a stream.

Prob reading a round by round right here, cuz I ain't paying $65 to see it live.

HBO should replay it the following weekend, so I see it then. No big deal.

Now if it was a Pavlik PPV, that would be a different story!:yep

No way. Even if Ricky won, he'd have to be psychotic not to return to 140. Booking Cotto-Hatton would just be an act of sadism.

Just booked it! 15 quid seems ok

some mates are coming around to mine in Brick Lane (posters welcome) and watch it on the plasma, turn the surround up and get the beers and food in

Some marching powder might be needed to keep me awake- I fell asleep before Calzaghe Kessler and that was 1 am
