Boxers have declined in recent times due to lack of expert training/education of the sport and quality trainers (not to mention the lesser talent pool, particularly in the states) rather than improved due to advancements in technology.

You have simply to watch the fighters fight to see this. Anyone who claims boxers today are more technically skilled or scientific in their approach is simply uneducated.

    I think Tyson is.
Casual fans see/saw Tyson as the embodiment of brutality;a byword for destructive savagery, even though he ruled a weak division and was taken the distance by Tucker and Bonecrusher and KO'd by Douglas.
Nevertheless people were still naming their dogs and kids after him.
    THAT is overrated.
Calzaghe gets nowhere near that kind of fanfare to be in the same overrated ballpark as Tyson.

Sugar Ray Robinson's career. Packed full of nobodies with **** records and he fought these bums multiple times. Overflated record, period.

Lewis, over his WHOLE career is better than Tyson, Holyfield and Bowe. DEAL WITH IT AMERICA. Even Ali and Foreman have said so yet you keep arguing. You guys had every other decade, the 90's belong to Britian and the 2000's Ukraine/Britian.

Hopkins lost to Calzaghe, quit with the excuses.
Pavlik lost to Hopkins, quit defending him. 'Oh but he had Bronchitis and a sore elbow'. He's a grown man, POSTPONE YOU MUPPET.

People who say Calzaghe is a legend. He needs 2-3 more BIGfights. Same with Mayweather being called the P4P greatest by people who dismiss Louis, Robinson, Chavez, Leonard... I could go on.

De La Hoya should have retired 6 years ago.
