All things considered, what are the best wins of your favourite fighter(s) career and why?

Well I have many fave fighters so lets start with

Calzaghe V Kessler - Unified super middleweight division and was an awesome match bewtween the two top undefeated fighters of that weight.

Ali V Foreman - Ali had been beaten by frasier and norton whom foreman had knocked out so no one thought ali would win until the 8th round came where ali proved once and for all he was "the greatest".

Taylor V Hopkins 2 - Taylor proved the first time wernt a fluke by working Hopkins with continuous jabs which inspired me to take from that and add it to my style.

Mine has to be Nigel Benn v Gerald McClennan. A tragic outcome, but Benn was out on his feet in the first and seventh rounds. He showed the heart of a warrior to stop McClennan

Benn v Iran Barklay - The Dark Destroyer sends a clear message to world boxing

Benn v Doug Dewitt - Compare this to some of Dewitts other fights

    Cotto UD over Mosley

Trinidad KO Vargas...I only say this because although his best win was actually over Oscar De La Hoya, I will be fair enough to say he was robbed.

    Pacquiao TKO DLH

calzaghe over lacy and kessler... the world took notice of joe after this.
hatton over tzsyu... signalled the end of an era, and a beginning of a new one for the JWW division.
lewis over michael grant... so funny after Grant's camp claimed he would destroy lennox.
pavlik over taylor 1... exciting fight, middleweight division needed it.

Wilfredo Gomez vs. Carlos Zarate-Although in Puerto Rico, and moving up in weight, Carlos Zarate was possibly the most feared man in boxing. Unbelievable record of 54-0 (53) but Gomez, who I believe was 24-0-1 (24) on that night boxed superbly, his brilliant footwork and occasional flurry peppering Zarate through the first three rounds.

When they exchanged it was unclean, and they tied up whenever they got close.

However, in the 4th, Gomez turned it on, flooring Zarate with a picture perfect left hook off the backfoot.

He then proceeded to savage him, and humbled Zarate with another barrage of blows in the fifth, whereupon Zarate's cornermen stormed the ring.

It was a dissection of an all-time top 5 BW at his peak as a fighter. Although it was Gomez's weight and hometown, Zarate was the name, and Gomez ruined him.

And Sanchez turned the trick on Gomez a few years later.

Jones V Ruiz - I remember being so nervous, especially after the first round when Ruiz caught Jones with a big right hand - but Jones actually stood their and exchanged with Ruiz, which I was totally suprised with. After that, I had total faith in RJJ

Hopkins V Pavlik - all this hype about Pavlik being the first man to knock out B-Hop - BULL****!! I knew for a fact Pavlik wouldn't hurt Hopkins, but I didn't think Bernard would dominate Kelly in that way. All my friends bought into it, literally - we had a large cash sum going on this fight, and I walked away a rather wealthy man :D

one is Barrera beating Hamed. Barrera is one of my faves because he is no-nonsense, and seems laid back and down to earth outside the ring. He's tough as nails without trying to act tough. i.e. He's not a fake. You had Hamed, a knockout artist who was loud, cocky and flashy against a guy they called the "babyfaced assasin", who looked like a schoolboy, but ended up schooling the favourite, and just to make a point that he can fight as well as box, he roughed up Hamed and smashed his face into the turnbuckle as well. Substance won over style (although Barrera looked pretty classy himself in that fight). He Showed what a class fighter he was and humbled the Prince. Great win.

Izzy Vazquez against Marquez 3. The word "warrior" is overused but this guy is the definition of "warrior". Amazing heart and desire to win this war that they had. Great finish with the knockdown coming just before the final bell. He deserved it for sure. I cannot understand why this guy is not more popular.
