IMO he was a very good historian and writer. Cox's Corner Mike Tyson: Iron and Clay Rating the All Time Heavyweights in 10 Categories Heavyweight Greats Rating Chart
I really liked this one https://coxscorner.tripod.com/scori...estimate the worth,d) clean and hard punching. And I really think more people need to read it considering how bad some people's scorecards are in certain fights.........
The articles make for a good read. Some of his analysis I find contentious as he can be quite absolute in his description of fighter inadequacies. Overall though, definitely worth a read even if you don't agree with everything.
https://coxscorner.tripod.com/Foreman2.html George Foreman King of the Super Heavyweights. Like the article but I disagree. Nikolai Valuev is the King of the Super heavyweights
I like Cox's Corner's heavyweight rating chart. This would also be interesting for other weight classes.
Monte Cox is quite possibly the only man in the world who truly overrates Joe Gans. I can get behind Gans being his second greatest fighter of all time, even if I disagree with that notion. But saying stuff like ''Gans was as elusive as a prime Whitaker'' or that he was as hard a puncher as Joe Louis P4P, merely based on just reports, is going too far. And here I thought it was impossible for Gans to ever be overrated.
