Its an intriguing bout for sure but the winner fights for the Euro title next I think and the loser fights Lindsay probably straight back in at title level so no shame for either whatever happens.

Yeh Simpson is 4th with the IBF which is a vacant title and the No.2 spot is empty.

If Simpson beats Smith and Lindsay he will almost certainly get at least a final eliminator within 6 months as the IBF are very regular when it comes to arranging them.

Be nice to see Simpson go to the US and pick up a 6 figure payday. Although I think Smith will win tomorow.

Also the winner will be mandatory for the European title.

Cannot see Smith but more importantly the over protective Warren & Joe Gallagher moving him that quick.

Lindsay is a tough but winnable fight especially in Liverpool and you would fancy him to beat the European champion.

Win the Lonsdale outright and the European. Defend a few times and he will have a high WBC and IBF ranking along with the nice WBO one Frank gets him.

Then Warren will get him thr fight with the weaker champion in Liverpool.

Warren doesn't put fighters in world title fights unless he is very confident of victory and they rarley take the shot away from home. Mitchell is a rare exception.

okay i had to laugh at this post !! first it was evident from the first fight that smith was the better boxer?? when and which round was this ? all he did was rabbit punch and hold all through the fight ... and dont give the excuse he broke his hand as his manager told simpson he hurt his hand before that fight ....

you think smith is the heavier puncher of the two ?? based on what ?? neither of them got knocked out in that fight ..

you say that simpson had success by working on the inside in the last fight ... he could only work on the inside coz he was being held down every minute by smith ,, ever time he actually tried to box he was being hugged ...

you say smith knows what simpson brings to the table ... believe me smith never seen the real simpson fight on that night look at the lindsay fight.. different fighter

and simpson can adapt watch hm tomorrow night  u are all in for a shock believe me smith has no chance

simpson wins definately ko round 7 !:hi:

How come Simpson didnt KO him before Z Man. I think you need to rewatch the first 5 rounds where Smith outboxed him

Domestically, unless the fighter appears top notch then I'll pick Simpson. He is a good solid domestic fighter who can grind for 12 rounds. Simpson has also been on the end of a couple of bad decisions.

Some think Smith is on a different level. This fight will show us if he is.
