Simpson needed to be and was, much improved against Lindsay. He just looked fitter and stronger in that fight than he's ever been. Swifty did well in Glasgow and like others have said he has scope for improvement and is also free of injury.

    Prediction and reasoning -

Swifty will look to box from the outside and get a good start, he'll be keen as mustard. However, Simpson will also look to get off to a flier, he started better against Lindsay and kept up the pace so that tells me he is stronger and fitter than the John Simpson Smith beat in Glasgow.

It will be close IMO with Smith looking to spoil close-up and sway the judges with his work on the outside, like I said though, Simpson seems stronger than ever and should fair better this time around. Second half of the fight should be his and if there's any rustiness there on Smith's part it could be a long night for him.

I'll take Simpson to force a stoppage in the last 3 Rounds.

Isnt it funny that despite there having been a fight already people are probably less certain despite it about the outcome

The decision wasn't clear cut. Simpson is good and has got better. Smith had potential but now has valuable experience. It's still a tough one.

Well we all know that if the fight goes the distance, Smith gets it! When 'ole uncle Fwank is involved, thats the rules! Not that Im complaining though as Mr Warren got Ricky Burns his chance & Im forever grateful, you have to take the good with the bad in this sport!

I just think Smith was bullshitting about the hand in the first fight, he got a gift, knew he lost in his wee scouse heart & made excuses. Simmy though wasnt his usual self, if he was he woulda got swifty out of there swiftly!
Now Smiths been inactive, wee bit of ring rust, fighting in front of his own, young & inexperienced, whereas Simmy has improved under the tutelage of the great Billy Nelson, & is coming off a win against a cracking fighter in Lyndsey, fights best away from home only way I can see smiggas wee brother winning this is if he holds & spoils his way to a gift, but I think hes getting knocked out this time...

Wee Simmy always gets his man in a rematch, you have all been warned...:deal

I checked out Skysports.com to see what time this one kicks off and am a bit pissed off that they have zero articles on this fight.
This is an excellent domestic fight and why they can't promote it on their own website is beyond me.

Swifty wins on points for me 117-111.

Swifty being in our hometown will be an advantage although some saying it wont matter, I believe it will.

I believe Swifty looks in better shape and from what ive seen of him sparring he looks stronger and quicker than before.

i really dont know what fight u were watching simpson was not clearly outboxed i had it even the first five rounds then it became a hug fest... only problem simpson had was he never worked out of the hugs as he should have smith totally spoiled the fight and i can see hm doing it again tonight when he feels that simpsons too much for him hel hold... simpson wont make the mistake this time in letting him hold to prevent him to box....

i just hope smith dusnt act it this time... dont believe for a second he hurt his hand he knew simpson was too much for him n held on and somehow got the decision...

    cant wait to tonight !!!:happy

Your right. I can't see a single thing. Excellent mid week match up. Come home from work, beers, pizza, enjoy a great fight. Everyone should be happy.

TV slot is 10 til 12. 9 til 11 would have been much better.

I think this is just a rematch that had to happen man .To close for some to call and both fighter's have got alot of plus sides going into this man .I hope Simpson throws as many punches in this as he did in the Lindsay fight and hope it was the broken hand and clinching that stopped him throwing .Tbh though man watching a bit of both Simpson Lindsay and Simpson Smith . Smith look's faster than Lindsay .I hope that doesn't take any of Simposon's punchrate away though .Styles make fights man but Simpson going into the lions den as well and coming off a great win against Lindsay i'm going with 50 50 as well .Well 60 40 for the jock hahahahaha .Only joking man that's been biased .As long as we don't get f-----g robbed again lol .
