Kessler is a quality fighter. He has solid all around skills, but not one that jumps out at you as one that can single handedly win a fight. Most of the time his solid fundamentals will work, but on the occasions that he does need to make an adjustment, he doesn't do as well.

I would have like to seen him fight Joe Cal without an injured hand. He put up a decent showing in a rather mundane affair.

I was one of few who wanted to see an immediate (give or take several months) rematch.

Hardly anybody else seemed to believe the result could be any different even though Joe was getting up there in age and Kessler would've had 12 rounds' experience with him to help figure out a new gameplan at full health. :conf

I mean, I still would have favored Calzaghe but people acted like it was a sure thing and would in fact be even less close the second time.

 

Wardkke needs to rematch him in Denmark.
