Was the fight a giant hypejob?
I feel like they hyped up canelo to be some type of destroyer he is NOT.

Did it deserve to be the highest PPV rating in Boxing?
No i dont think so. But prior to the fight, i did buy into the hype.
Did everyone else do the same?

    Was it a disappointment?
The fight was VERY one sided and it was really just a sparring match for Mayweather.

Will Mayweather vs Pacquiao be a disappointment as well?

This one's over, time to move on. A Pac fight would be very interesting.

Did it deserve...? That's a silly question, it's not like it was given that moniker as a gift. The people spoke. They wanted that fight. To Floyd's credit, he gave it to them.

Considering what Canelo is still capable of in his career, you can't say it was a hypejob. He is fast, he's powerful (certainly enough power to KO a welterweight, which Floyd is), and he's young and skilled. He just beat Lara, say what you will, it was a lot closer than it should have been considering Lara's pedigree.

Canelo may not be a legit threat to guys like Martinez in his prime, or GGG, but could easily have been seen as a legit threat to Floyd. Floyd was smaller, older, didn't have enough power to hurt Canelo and hadn't fought anyone comparable since Cotto, who gave him a rough fight...

Hindsight is 20/20, you can nit pick and criticize all wins up and down the history books. BEFORE THE FIGHT, this was a legit threat for an aging fighter.

The people wanted the fight, and Floyd gave it to them.

Some people were dead certain that Floyd would never fight Canelo, and that he was "too old" to beat him. Not only did Floyd fight him, he dominated him.

I thought Alvarez was too slow of foot to give Mayweather a good fight so I wasn't surprised by the outcome. On the other hand, I think Pac is too small to give Mayweather a good fight and would expect Mayweather to win a 10-2 type decision if they ever fought.

I think Floyd was always the better fighter between him and Pacquiao, and would have always won.

Floyd is all wrong for Pac. He is quick enough to control the distance and would beat Pac up on the outside where he has a greater reach or on the inside since Pac shows no ability at all as an infighter. Pac isn't going to knock him out so I really don't give Pac much of a chance.

I loved Mayweather - Canelo fight. I am not a big fan of May but he demonstrated perfect skills during that fight. What I like about it is how awkward Canelo looked. Alvarez definetely was and is overrated, which could be seen from Lara fight as well. Canelo looks good with the kinds of Angulo but if someone steps into the ring with good boxing skills and footwork, he can only count upon judges.

Take away Pac's head and I would say yes. Floyd has the same calve size as Pac and it looks proportional on him. Pac and Marquez are about the same size and Marquez looked like a child in the ring with Mayweather.

I totally agree since it is quiet obvious. Current Pac is no big deal for Floyd. He does not have any speed advantage any more. He keep making same mistakes, he has average defence, he doesn't have a knockout punch and what can be seen from recent fights - he doesn't keep himself busy. He didn't knock out both Algieri and Rios, though these were the cherry picking fights, and it was a very close fight with Bradley.

The only thing I am wondering about is why this fight didn't happen yet. People are buying this fight and they would be able to make sensational money. And still, no risk of losing for Floyd
