No no no no no no no no

(waits for the first person to mention mcguigan as an excuse for vigil to get into Canastota)

He would have had a shout if he wondered out of his run of WBA defences phase whilst he was primed.

Comparing Virgil Hill's accomplishment's to Gatti's is just plain stupid imo.

Virgil Hill was really an amazing fighter. ATG, no. HOF? yes.

Gatti is a lock imo not for his abilities as a fighter but for what he brought to the sport.

Virgil Hill accomplished a good deal in 2 weight classes - especially at light heavyweight. He's a HOFer in my opinion, but not an ATG.

Hill's jab belongs in the HOF. The man one the Light heavy and defended it what 10 times? Then won it again and defended it 11 times. Then twice won the cruiserweight title. Once when he was past 40 years old. Smells like the HOF to me.

Yep. You set the division record for title defenses, you're probably going to be in. You move up, and win another title at a higher weight, you're in without question.

Even though he is not that famous he should definately be in the hall of fame.

i think he qualifies. His title reigns alone make him a HOFer then you throw in how productive he was over such a long period of time and its a shoo in. not an ATG however.
