What are your views on Froch's chin, power, stamina, and speed after tonights fight?

I guess we've seen it put to the test to some degree on a world level...

Chin - Very good (I won't say granite yet - needs to face a better puncher). You still need a defence Carl, the best of chins can be broken down by consistent volume of hard shots

Stamina - Very good considering he throws so many hayemakers

Speed - Not good. Didn't get anywhere near Taylor apart from 1 right hand, until Taylor gassed.

chin- over-rated. I will admit, he was their to be hit all ****ing night, and he did take some great shots, that fact that taylor dropped him (taylor dosent have big power) basically dispells the "granite chin" marker. He has a great chin, but certainly not granite.

Power- A bit overrated. Taylor has a decent chin, but he took some of carl's shots well, until he started gassing at least. He makes up for it with his finishing ability

Toughness/Heart - Unbeleivable, This guy has the balls to make it to the top

    Defense - Garbage

all in all, froch showed what he really is against an elite fighter(the epitome of world class), and has shown us he has a really tough brawler, with good power, but his skills look more geared for fighting in pubs than in the ring :patsch

Hard to judge his power, he never really landed flush at any point until the end and by that point he was tired himself and throwing arm punches.

His chin is iron. He can really take a punch. Just like any fighter he's susceptible to a big punch that he doesn't see, but I don't think it hurt him really and his eyes looked clear straightaway.

Dunno what to make of his power.

He hit Taylor with one cracking right hand before he tired, but didn't budge him. But it's not like he lands on a consistent basis because he's so damn slow and telegraphed. So he could have great raw power for all we know, thats not being used.

He hasnt got Tommy Hearns type power but he is heavy handed and puts plenty into most of his shots.

    Let me explain

GF = Inane coversation about chins and being exposed.
Lounge = Inane converstion about peeing in her butt.
Classic = Inane conversation about peeing in Ali's butt.
    Brit = Converstion about boxing.

Dude don't worry, from what I've read on a few sites the Americans really like Frochs attitude as well. They love the way he came out in the 12th, a real champion. Ignore those eating humble pie in the general.

I thought taylor would stop him. Not becuase he has a oor chin but because it has signosts pointing to it and no defence at all..

The 12th round kncockout shows one thing about his power, its there all night long, even in a hard fight.

Well one Carl, for going to the USA in defence 1, taking on a MArquee name, a former undisputed champ and stopping him.

He's obviously doing something right, and has a bit more of something, whatever that is, then people give him credit for.

I want to congratulate Froch on a great victory. I kew Taylor's skills were better going in but that Carl has an X-factor. He found a way to win decisively in the end despite being up against it. Well done. I ;ike both guys and was not sure who would win but slightly leaned towards Taylor going in for reasons show through most of the fight.Having betterskills and finesse is one thing but not all. Well done Carl. I trust a certain retired former champion in Wales will be staying retired.

Whatever you say about Carl Frochs boxing ability, you have to admit that he has a mammoth chin, and is an A1 finisher when shown the opportunity....great performance
